Venues in Boston - to hold large guest list

Hi Boston Knotties,

I am knewly engaged. Looking for ideas for venues in the Boston and surrounding suburb area (including Metro West) that hold large guest lists (250-300).

Looking for "out of the box" ideas.

    I'm not sure of your budget or anything but I have relatives having their wedding at the Fairmont copley and they are inviting over 300. My wedding is taking place at the aquarium and it seats 250

    I looked at Fairmont Copley. It's absolutely gorgeous, but it's pricey.... at least $100-150 per person.

    Like PP said, I dont know your budget, but our wedding is at the Boston Harbor Hotel, and it can fit well over 300 people in the Wharf room. We looked at the Boston Public Library as well, and that can fit a large amount.

    I got married at Danversport Yacht Club.  They can hold up to 600 people.

    My venue (Black Swan country club in Georgetown) can hold 350 in the larger ballroom.  It's reasonably priced.  It's about $50 a person (meal and alcohol).

    Not sure what your budget is, but have you looked at the Seaport Hotel?

    I was just reading in Boston Magazine's Wedding Issue Spring/Summer 2011 about a wedding there for 340 guests.

    Definitely check out the Seaport Hotel.  We had our wedding there and they were amazing to work with.
