Am I Wrong?

So my mom's friend that was supposed to cook the majority of the food bailed on everything but two dishes. I planned on cooking everything, buy my mom suggested to call my sister's grandma.

I called her and asked her if she would cook, told her how many people (100), and she agreed. Monday we were going shopping for the food, and I CALLED HER! I told her how much we were getting, and I even took it to her house that night! 60 lbs of chicken and 5 hams. She said nothing, smiled right in my face, and told me she couldn't wait until the wedding.

Today, she called me and told me she would cook all the food but she won't be attending. Then she hung up on me. So I called my sister nearly in tears and asked her if she had talked to her or knew what was going on? 

Her grandma said I had taken advantage of her! I know it is a lot of food, but she saw the food when we took it to her house! She said she was ok with it! Am I wrong?

    Honestly, maybe it's because she won't have time to get ready, etc. This way she can cook the food and get it to you without having to get ready.

    She wants me to pick the food up tomorrow. She was really rude on the phone and my feelings are so hurt...

    I know that I'm the kind of person who probably wouldn't have said anything to you either when you dropped the food off, even if I was overwhelmed/upset/pissed at all the food you were expecting me to cook. Maybe she didn't know what she was getting herself into when she agreed to help you. If I were you, I'd offer to help her out a little so she can still come to the wedding!

    We all offered to help. She refused and now still refuses to come to the wedding. I even wrote her a thank you letter telling her I'm sorry if she thinks I took advantage and I would love for her to come to the wedding. She's still not coming. Oh...and trust me...she's not the type to bite her tongue! My mom tells me she got an ear full when she went to go get the food.

    Honestly, that is a LOT to ask of a person.  She wanted to help you for your wedding, so she said yes, only to be overwhelmed.  I can tell you from experience that when we did a fundraiser for my cousin, we only did 10 chickens (for chicken and noodles) and it was a two day process.  We were wiped out afterwards.  I'm putting myself in her shoes and thinking that I would have said no to help only because I would have blown up on whoever was trying to help.  

    Could you get her a thank you gift?  Like for a massage or something?  And tell me your mom didn't blow up on her.  She basically catered a dinner for 100 people for free. She doesn't deserve to be yelled at.

    We didn't yell at her. We've been nice. She's the on being rude. I know I sound like a child..and I apologize for that. I just don't understand how it's ok for her to yell at us? We did nothing to provoke her. Offered help. She just out the blue got pissed off and yelled at us...I do plan on sending her a thank you gift once I get some money.

    Just called her. She said she thought I didn't care about her hard work as long as she got it done. I feel awful now. I didn't think that's how I was acting. Her son says sometimes she feels unappreciated. So a gift is definitely on my to-do list.
