Topsail Island

Anyone get married on Topsail Island?  Or at Bella Luna in particular? If so, is there anything you feel I should know?  And can you recommend any vendors from DJ, Photog, Florist, Makeup and Hair, etc.?

    I got married on Topsail Island at the Surf City Center. Are you getting married on the beach? I used a salon on the island called A Beautiful New You. They were wonderful and very accomodating. http://www.abeautifulnewyoudayspa.com/

    I used Patty Padgett for cake and day of coordinator. PM me if you want her info. I used Michael Tift for a DJ. He was great and really reasonable. PM me if you want his info.

    I got married at the Surf City center as well.  We had our ceremony on the beach right in from of the center.

    We used Kathy Canby cakes.  Kathy is amazing and really worked with us to do something awesome while staying in our budget.

    For flowers, we ordered flowers from Hawaiian Flowers (http://www.hawaiiflowerlei.com/shop.aspx). We had a hawaiian themed wedding. So we had leis, my bouquet, and flowers for the tabels overnighted 2 days before the wedding fropm Hawaii (it was only $300 for everything!).

    Our band was a group out of Charlotte called the Tsunami Wave Riders. The are a trop rock band.  They set up a guitar, steel drums, and a ukulele on the beach for the ceremony, and a 6 piece band that rocked all night for the reception.  They were the highlight of the party!

    We used Scott Muthersbaugh as our photographer.  He is a friend of ours and a talented photographer out of Greensboro.

    For a Day of Coordiantor, we used Meredith McSwain.  She lives in Wilmington and has worked with a lot fo the vendors out there.  She is incredible and really brought everything together that day for me.

    I am in Wilmington, but I am using Kathy Canby as well! I live in Colorado right now and she has been amazing helping me.... and at our cake tasting it was AMAZING!!! Highly recommend her :)

    Thanks so much, ladies!  We're doing our ceremony/reception outside at the Bella Luna Bistro at Villa Capriani.  I will definitely be messaging you for more info as we're in DC, but vacation on Topsail and have decided to have our wedding there and will definitely need more info to make this quasi-destination wedding the best!
