What bad luck....Need to vent!!!

Hi Ladies,

Sorry I have been gone for a while, but I got sick last week.  The usual flu etc etc, except I lost my on Saturday night.  I think I have Laryngitis.  Uggghh....such bad luck with school and work and all.  I texted my FMIL that I won't be able to call her because of it because my voice is barely above a whisper and no one understands me on the phone.

I wrote to FI about it saying that its too bad he is missing out on this, because I don't think he ever really thought I would ever be quiet on purpose.  People at my work are having a field day with it since I got back to work.  I am glad someone has found amusement in it.

It is going to be a week soon and my voice is only marginally improving so far.  I want my voice back, this is so frustrating.  Of all the things to have happened!!!

Sorry just needed to vent!!

    Oh, you poor dear!

Unfortunately, the only thing that will definitely work is letting your voice rest and heal on its own. You can try drinking hot tea with honey - it'll help ease the scratchiness, at any rate. I hope you feel better soon!

Oh no, that's awful! That has got to be frustrating. I hope it starts to improve soon.

It's funny that your coworkers and FI are teasing you about it, but I am sure you just want your voice back!

I agree with the tea with honey, other than that, just rest it and hopefully it will return soon.

    Feel better!

Awww.. hope you feel better soon. I'd like to suggest gargling with hot water+salt+a bit of lemon juice. If you do it 2-3 times every day for a few days, it REALLY helps.

Trupi has a point that should help.. try just hot tea.. I have the same issue too. My voice goes in and out. I work for ENT docs so they have been messing with me more then my co-workers.

Thanks ladies!!!  I am trying the gargling and the tea with honey and trying to talk less but it is so hard!!! I always thought I was a quiet person, but apparently not!!!  My FI is not making fun of me yet, since I have not heard from him, but he is always going on about how loud I am and I am always talking. I thought he would find this fun, me being quiet.  LOL.
