New here to AAW ..... Micros or Sew In

 Hi, I am new here to AAW, I am getting married June 14, 2013 on a cruise ship. I know I am going to be swimming and snorkeling because we have already planned our excursions. I want my pics to look great but i don't want to be worried about my hair. I was thinking micros because I can style them up for my wedding, What do you ladies think ??

    First CONGRATS!! And welcome to the board! I would say that you should go with the micros because if you get the sew in and go swimming your hair will mildew under there and that could cause problems. at least with the micros you can wash the hair and hold the dryer over your scalp to dry your roots.

    I have ADD so I couldn't sit for the micros but they are a lil more manageable then the sew ins especially since you will be getting them wet.

    Welcome! I would vote for a sew in with brazilian or other hair that goes curly when wet. I just think sewins look more fab for a wedding

    I did micros as I went on a cruise for my honeymoon the same day.  I used wet and wavy hair and it was perfect for the honeymoon too.  I didn't have to worry about playing in the ocean at any point during the honeymoon.  You can style your micros anyway you want and create updos.  It was really nice not having to worry and spend so much time on my hair, we sat in the hot tub when it was raining, played on the beach, etc.   The honeymoon was 7 days the wedding was 15-30 minutes.  We snorkled, splashed, everything in the water and it was the best time ever!!!!!

    Okay, I think either.. I guess it's your preference on how long you want to sit and get your hair done. I haven't had micros in awhile, but i think with both you can get a wet and wavy hair, that way you can have style for your ceremony and then get it wet, and style it however you want. I think both are good options, it just really all depends what type of hair you buy.. Just don't want it to nap up.. LOL..  I went on a cruise 2 years ago, had a sew in and had wet and wavy hair. I liked it, it just shed alot.. but i did a lot with it. Good luck

    Thank you all for your help my FI said micros too so he can run his fingers through my hair lol .. I told him he could do it with a sew in too if its done right but I appreciate all your help ladies...
