What are some things that annoy you?

I'll start:

Work - I get so annoyed when people walk past my desk and throw things in MY garbage can. Seriously? Why can't you throw it in your own garbage when you get back to your desk! ..I know that is stupid, but that really annoys me!

Weird laughs,

questions about the wedding (this probably shouldn't annoy me but it does),

people who invite themselves to things (not just weddings),

people who get mad if you don't tell private things,

people who have no sense of TMI/boundries,

when some of these people are the same person its extra annoying,

bad drivers,

people who talk about Tiger Woods/any other celebrity gossip constantly,

when I'm tired and there's no more coffee, and

coworkers who think they are really busy and important and do soooo much more than anyone else but really goof off the same amount as everyone else does.

Along this same line, I get annoyed by people who use my stuff at work. I purchase tissues and Clorox wipes, with my own money, to keep at my desk. Whenever anyone else is sick, they always come and ask for tissues. And they ask to use wipes to clean up their desk. Its not a ton of money, but it'd be nice if they went out and bought their own.

It annoys me when you pay for services (like nail appointments) and the person who performs the service acts like they are doing you a favor! Talk about not appreciating the customers!

THIS! I totally agree. It drives me bonkers. I find myself saying 'Thank you' at the register...and they almost never say 'Thank you' for shopping there. IDK why I even say it because I shouldn't, but it's a habit.

I hate when people have a false sense of entitlement. I deal w/ that A LOT.

A-hole drivers! I cannot stand jerks on the road. JUST DRIVE!
Workplace drama. It seems lately that everything gets turned into a huge ordeal.
I have a HUGE problem with unfriendly customer service people. You work in customer service, I am the customer, SERVE ME (or at least be nice to me)!
People touching anything on my desk annoys the crap outta me. I leave everything very tidy (yes, I have a tad of OCD) and if I come back and find things out of order, random stuff sitting on my desk, my chair spun around, it drives me UP A WALL! Sit at YOUR OWN DESK!

i'm pretty annoyed that i basically never drive anywhere anymore and just get dropped off and picked up.

hehe i was just venting to another co-worker about my cube mate... he invades my personal space and his stuff goes over the desk "line" (the line where the two walls connect) all the time, he NEVER cleans his desk, which wouldn't bug me except i had to move next to him because my allergies are so bad and the building i work in actually makes me physically sick...

he surfs the net all day
comes in at the same time i do, leaves at the same time i do and takes an hour lunch.. i eat at my desk, so it's only 8 hours..

i also hate people who whine all day long and don't realize that people 4 cube rows over can hear you..

oh and people..who hasn't heard of a curteousy flush!?!??! you are NOT at home...

hehe i'm done, and i feel a little better... thanks!

LMAO! Love it....thankfully I don't have that issue here. I am not in the office much & our dispatchers don't get to leave their chairs very often. I guess they are lucky they aren't pushin' fabric while they're at work.

Oh my god, I hopped on the knot because I am so annoyed right now. My cousin annoys the hell out of me. First, she is always making just mean remarks. To her, I think she's joking and being funny but her little dibs are incredibly mean. And no one does anything right or knows anything but her, she's the best. And now that I am getting married, she is constantly telling me what I should do for MY wedding - she does even phrase it as a suggestion, just 'this is what you are doing". HELLO you already got married, you got to plan your wedding, let me do mind! I dread hanging out with her or talking to her anymore and that's so sad because we use to be best friends.

My biggest annoyance is when the barrister at Starbucks messes up my coffee. It messes up my entire day.

- People who preach about politics, but then don't care to hear anyone elses opinion

- Tiger Woods - he's a jerk, let's all move on....

- ppl at my work - long story but it basically has to do with them not doing their job which affects my job performance down the line.

Ditto on the celebrity gossip. HELLOOOOOO, we don't live anywhere near you and I don't care what goes on in your life. Obviously, the news stations don't have anything better to report.

People who can't seem to drive the speed limit. Granma and Granpa's GET OFF THE ROAD! Talk about a traffic accident waiting to happen

People who go grocery shopping and then have to block the aisle with their cart and then proceed to walk away from it to look at something at the other end. TAKE YOUR D@MN CART WITH YOU! How hard it that? Oh and keep your cart closer to the side so people like me can get by. I'm not 2 inches wide for pete's sake.

Mail that gets delivered to the neighbor and then they come over 3 days later. Thanks I really wanted that bill. Why couldn't you pay it for me?

Rude people at the bank. I went to the bank to deposit $$ in DH's account and they told me I couldn't do that since my name is not on the account. Hello?!? Since when? I've been depositing $$ in his account for a while and you can clearly see his account # on the slip. I don't care if you cross the account # off the receipt, just deposit the money. Oh by the way, you have my id in front of you the the same address and last name. How hard can that be? Do you need to be a rocket scientist to figure it out? (this just happened again today at the bank. Told them that if they have a problem call my husband and then we will cancel all of our accounts and go somewhere else or let me talk to a manager-MORONS)

Also, do you really need to talk on the phone while you are in line? If no one is dying then get off the phone, pay for your purchases and get out. I really get annoyed when people do that.

When I was working, I hated when peopl would come up to me and ask "Are you busy" No, I'm just playing on the computer and goofing off." Duh, you see me working on a project, idiot.

I feel slightly better now.

Co-workers that take personal calls on the company line. You have a cell phone, use it. Disguising the fact that Mom calls on the office line doesn't mean I don't know. Oh, and then having that personal conversation for thirty plus minutes is really annoying, too.
I can't say it enough, bad bad bad drivers. Some a-hole in a Cadillac got pissed at me yesterday because he made a right handed turn on a red light (his light, not mine) and didn't see me (or my BRIGHT RED CAR) coming and had to pull over. Then he proceeded to ride my bumper till I had to turn down our business drive. Thanks.
Bad CS in retail stores. I get it, I worked retail for four years but please put on a smile and do your job.

I've got more.

People that disrespect cashiers, waiters/waitresses, etc.

Every time I go to the doctor, I wait a minimum of 20 minutes before I'm seen. Doesn't seem to matter if I'm the first or last appointment of the day, I still wait. But if I date show up 2 minutes late, my appointment will get cancelled.

When people heat up leftover fish in the microwaves at work. I am not even exaggerating when I say you can smell across the entire office.

Parents who drive their kids to the bus stop and let them sit in the car until the bus shows up. I might understand if it is bitter cold, but I was walking my dog this morning and there were 3 cars idling at the bus stop. What made it even worse is that there was one lone girl who apparently isn't quite as spoiled standing outside. One of the other kids could have at least extended her an invite to a nice warm car!!

When the girl in the cube next to me talks about the bar, where the best happy hour is, all her drunken stories, or how hungover she is because she drank 2 bottles of wine last night. I'm sorry, I didn't realize we were still in college.

When the U-Scan weighs things incorrectly and you have to wait forever for an employee to override it.

Comcast. I hate the whole company as a whole.

That's it. For now anyway.

I get so frustrated with Im in a patients room I ask " is there anything else I can get you" they say no, 2 seconds later call lights on for water. What!?! Did you just suddenly become dehydrated? and when im there please think for a second before saying you dont need anything else and 2 min later hitting the call light. dont know if you know this but RN's have things to do besides get water and napkins, and salt. FYI NO SALT ON CARDIAC FLOOR HELLO!!!

Sorry spent a long day at hospital and just needed to vent that out.

Rude nail women also drive me crazy

Pediatricians that assume you are crazy because you are a mom.

Wedding vendors who for some reason are all uppity (is that a real word?) and snotty as if saying 'Im on a budget" was the equivelent of spitting on the bible in their world.

This is very late...but I have to add more!!
Every friggin' time I go to the grocery store, I unload my cart the way my groceries should logically be bagged....grouped by frozen, produce, boxed items, canned, dairy...you get the idea.
The cashier or bagger FAILS HORRIBLY every time. It's not rocket science, especially when I make it easier for them! Drives me crazy!

Julie...I'm w/ ya on the Dr's office B.S. That's really annoying too. I've walked out, even if they put me in a room. I hate that I wait 20 minutes past my appt time in the waiting room and then wait ANOTHER 20 minutes in the room to see the doctor for 5 minutes.

I love this thread!!

I get annoyed by political and religious emails and updates on Facebook. My sister is the worst with this! Drives me NUTS!!

Lucky for me, I drive about 3 minutes to work each morning, so I don't deal with a-hole drivers on a daily basis. BUT, I am annoyed that my school has a parking lot with only about 15 spaces. We have about 30 teachers and plenty of other staff, so if you don't get there super early, you have to park on the street or in a parking lot across the street. It's not a huge deal, but that walk can be a pain in the butt when it's raining or snowing.

I get really annoyed when FI and I go shopping or out to eat and he sits on his Blackberry the whole time. He's so addicted to sports that he has to read all of the score updates as they come in.

The biggest annoyance in my life is when my FI "does the laundry." He washes the clothes, puts them in the dryer, and then takes the clean clothes and throws them in a basket. So when I go to wear them, they are all wrinkled and gross so I have to either rewash them or put them through another cycle in the dryer.

This was fun!

leeshab...that's part of the reason that DH & I have a separated laundry basket. We are responsible for our own laundry. I don't want to get mad at him for wrecking my clothes either because he does not read labels or ask if anything needs to be laid flat to dry.

LOL. FI and I divided up household chores and I gladly took laundry. Not because I like it, but because he throws everything in the same load (lights, darks, towels, etc.) and he dries everything. Its just easier if I do it. One time he tried to do a load of laundry and I *kindly* asked him if he ever wanted to do laundry, it was fine, just please don't do any of mine.
