I tried eHarmony for awhile, so not impressed with it.

Also FWIW, like SarahPLiz, I also think eHarmony works if one puts the time and effort into it. FI and I met through eHarmony.

Yes, you have to pay for it, at least you do following a trial if they have offered a three day trial, etc.
The fact people have to pay for it is one of the reasons I liked it so much. Kept out a lot of the riff-raff ;)
Like I said, just contact eHarmony with an email or something to their customer service.
Weird that they did not send a confirmation email for a paid service though.
