So, this week to crossed two big things off our massive to-do list.
Centerpieces - we finally found cute (and AFFORDABLE) pumpkin centerpieces at Dollar General for $6 each. I had almost given up hope of having pumpkin centerpieces and then just browsing through DG I found them! I went to 4 different stores to get enough.
Invitations - I honestly felt SO behind when I saw most of you guys already had the invitations all done and in the mail. We did ours 100% from scratch. I ordered colored cardstock and pockets from cardsandpockets.com and we did them on Microsoft Word Processor on my sisters ancient little printer. It was a big project and I was terrified about it. But, we cranked those pups out in two days. We printed the invitations and reception cards on Tuesday before her printer started acting up. We let it rest over night then on Wednesday morning I did the hotel accomadations cards (only needed about 15 for the OOTs.) Printer was being weird again so I called every print shop in town trying to find someone to do the RSVP cards (everyone said 3 x 5 was too small of paper for their machines). Finally found somewhere who could print them (and do it that day!). Picked them up from the printers and spent aaaaaall night addressing them and put them in the mailbox at 11 pm!
For doing it without a template or anything I am SO proud of how they came out. they're pretty simple and not perfect, but I didn't need anything super fancy since most people are going to toss them in the trash eventually.
When I put them in the mailbox I felt SO relieved, Like, I felt like I had just turned in a final exam or something. SUCH a big sigh of relief.
and, FI and I have been engaged FOUR YEARS today!!! only 58 days to go before I'm FINALLY his wife!
