HELP! i need a photographer

Hi Ladies,
I had to switch my wedding date and my original photographer is not available. Does anyone have someone they would like to recommend? There are sooooo many in the area and im kinda overwhelmed and do not even know where to begin looking. We are having a very untraditional wedding. Only 50 people and a dinner reception. May 14th $2500 budget.

    My photographer is well within your budget and since they are a new company (about three years, I think), they don't have as many bookings as their competition. I was thrilled with my pics and highly recommend them.

    We used Scott Metzger for our wedding (loved him!), but his packages start at $2500 I believe for in-season Saturday weddings.  Here's his website if you want to check him out (review in bio if you're interested)

    Were using John LoConte.  His prices are super reasonable (I believe they start ~$1500) and he does fantastic work!  So far he's been wonderful!

    You could try Nick Hamawi at Truly Captured.  He did a friend's wedding recently and the pics were beautiful!

    When I was looking around, it seemed that RI photographers give more bang for your buck than those located in the greater Boston area.  The photographer that I went with along with another one that I truly hated saying "no" to are listed below.  Both of them are insured, have packages that start at or around $1,300 and include two photographers (both are husband and wife teams), and have many ad-ons that will still keep you below $2,500.

    Also agree with prior post about RI vendors. We are using David Bibeault and we LOVE him and his work so far. I was willing to spend more on photography and didn't need to. His work was as great...if not better than some of the local photographers who come highly recommended!

    i second john loconte!! his packages start at $1200  (just FYI - we looked at scott metzger for a sunday and he still started at $3000) ... john's highest package didnt get that much

    We are using Closed Circle Photography.  We found her on offbeatbride.com.  She has experience with all sorts of weddings.  Good luck!

    I second David BIbeault photography.  We are using Jamie and he is great, we just had our engagement session done.  You get two photographers and they are definitely in your price range.

    I'm going to recommend my friend, Kate. 
    she is amazing to work with and I would have used her for our wedding if I knew she did weddings before I booked my other photographer (who was amazing also but very expensive).
    We were friends in high school but recently started talking again on facebook. She did my boudoir photos for my husband which were gorgeous! She is also going to do a Rock the dress with me this Winter in the snow.

    She is very creative and is in your price range. Her photos look very simular to my wedding photographer who cost me over $5k.

    We are using Hexfire Photography out of Saco, Maine (I'm just north of Boston and he's traveling for us and has traveled for other weddings).  Both photographers are well within your budget and soo accomodating.  I don't think they have many of their wedding photos on their site, but you could always contact them.  hexfire.net
