Cosentino's Price Chopper Lee's Summit for cake?

Hey all, I'm just wondering if anyone has tried the cakes from the cosentino's price chopper that's in Lee's Summit off of 291 and Woods Chapel Rd for their cakes? I've had the cake from the price chopper up here in Parkville and it's not very good, but they're McKeever's, i'm not sure if there's much of a difference. I'm hoping that the one down there is better, because it's close to my venue, which makes things really convenient.

Price Chopper gets their cakes in premade and frozen, so they will probably all taste the same.  They bake small things in house, but not big cakes.

My experience over the years is that any grocery store/wholesale club bakery use premade cakes.  I have nightmare stories of showing up at venues and the cakes literally sweating because they took them out of the refrigerator and decorated them when they were cold and sent them to the venue.

If at all possible PLEASE try to find someone that specallizes in custom cakes.  It is well worth the extra expense.  One that is possibly close to there that I've dealt with in that past and that does excellent work is Petit Four in Greenwood.  Hope this helps.

petit four has really gone down hill here lately. my mom has received a lot of upset customers from them. we had them do my mom's babyshower cake, and it was a disaster.  the most expensive things for a wedding will be thrown away, dead, or eaten by the  end of the night, which sucks

Yeah, unfortunately I don't have any more money for cake. We had to change our plans for cake with only 2 weeks left to go, and our original budget was only 50 dollars for the cake. Now at most we only have like 150 dollars for a 3 tier cake, and really that's even technically too much. Thankfully in my case my flowers won't be dead, because I'm using silk arrangements made by FI's mother for the wedding. :)

Price chopper cake, blach. I had mine made at Hyvee with butter cream, it was very good. I've also had cakes made at Nellys in Claycomo missouri. It's not too far and they are reasonable and amazing!!!

I also had my cake done at the HyVee in Blue Springs which may be closer to your venue.  Or at least it is close to Lee's Summit.  We thought our cakes tasted great. To save money, I did a 2 tier cake and then 2 sheet cakes for the rest.  Once they cut the big cake, they just pulled out and served the sheet cakes with it.  May be something to consider if you are running out of money.  Unfortunately, I cannot remember the cost of my cake since we got our catering done there too.  I would recommend the Hy-Vee in Blue Springs.  I gave her a picture of our cake and it turned out exactly like the picture.   You may try going in for a taste test with this place in Lee's Summit.
