Sunrise Banquet Hall

Has anyone used the Sunrise Banquet Hall in Millbury? My FSIL would like to use them, but I've heard some mix reviews.

FI said that he went to a wedding there and they took the food away before anyone could get seconds. FSIL asked them about this and they said for food safety reasons they can only have the food out for an hour, then they have to take it to the back and package it up. Anyone hear anything about that at another hall? Mine has never said anything about...but my hall is in Lucas and that one is in Wood...maybe the rules are different?

    I'm not sure about that rule.  I have been to tons of weddings at Sunrise and the place is absolutely beautiful but the food has gone downhill over the past 5/6 years there.  I'm not sure why, but it was horrible the last wedding I was at there.

    I dont know the health dept rules but... that doesn't seem like enough time to serve a buffet & def not if you are doing complete sit down?  I would think as long as they are keeping the food hot in the warmers it could be out longer.  Either way they should have the DJ announce for anyone who wants seconds to come up (provided there is enough left & there always is) and get them BEFORE they break down the food!
