*New* venues in New England?

Does anyone have any recommendations for newly opened, funky (or classic!) wedding venues? Passing along to a friend, who wants something that's new. Thanks!

The Villa in East Bridgewater isn't new but it's def very contemporary.  It has an awesome lounge area  for the cocktail hour ( the lounge has 2 wrap around couches, high top and low top tables and a bar)  And if the wedding is in the Grand Ballroom, the lounge stays available during the entire reception.

I'm getting married here if you or your friend has any questions about The Villa, feel free to ask.  There are a few more Villa brides on here too =)

There is a new one opening up I think next month.  I'm just waiting for the photographer I'm meeting with on Thursday to tell me the name.  She's doing a shoot there soon.

There's a new loft space on A street.  I called them 3 times and no one ever called me back!  But it looked cool...

I talked to the ppl on A street, they respond better to e-mail.  I probably still have her e-mail if you would like it.

Not sure what you consider new, but we had our wedding in the Lighthouse room at the Seaport Hotel in Boston.  It's a different spin on your typical hotel room, has big windows and has a little more modern feel.  It was finished in spring/summer 2007.  I have pics in my bio if you're interested (see Reception).

Cruiseport in Gloucester is relatively new and very modern. It has a very clean, sleek and funky feel.

This is a former golf course, butthe familiy preserved the land as a wildlife refuge.  The clubhouse re-opened as a facility for functions. It even has a wedding chapel on the grounds!  It's in leominster, ma.

Check out the Lanam Club in Andover, MA. Not new, but they don't publicize it very much. I would consider it very "Classic."

</div><div>I would second that. I kept looking at that place for a possible venue but there were no reviews. Looks like a really nice place though!

Hmmm...not sure what is considered *new*, but the Mandarin Oriental in Boston & Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) are both just a few years old.  The ICA is super contemporary (haha....couldn't resist ;)
