When family Christmas party turns to wedding talk...not good!!!

So we had our family Christmas party today with my mom's family and all is great until the talk turns to my wedding and my wonderful sister/MOH starts bitching about EVERYTHING having to do with my wedding. 

She says Welcome Baskets are a waste of money (hello, destination wedding!! nice gesture for everyone). And she's not staying in "that" hotel! Apparently $99 a night is too expensive for her...in New Orleans, in March!! What?!? Find me a better price then. And then, she complains that I haven't had her help on anything pertaining to the wedding.  Everytime I've asked for help she's just too busy with her kids and their sports and the football she plays. She even missed my 30th birthday party last weekend because she decided to go to Austin at the last minute to play football instead. FI wants to know why I haven't "fired" her yet especially after the blowout we had today in front of family. I can't do that so I'm just gonna suck it up and just let it blow over. I told her today that she can make decisions when it's her wedding and get over it. My mom called her out after Ieft and she still doesn't think she's wrong. grr!! Surprised I didn't punch her in the face...not that I would... 

Sorry girls, just had to vent....

    It's not true wedding planning if somebody doesn't have a b!tch fit about how it doesn't accommodate them. 

    Don't get me wrong, I think (personally) it's nice to let others feel included and yadda ya, but then when other people cross the line of being just down right selfish,  it's hard not to say "it's my wedding," without sometimes being called out for a selfish brat. Therefore, smile and wave... lol 

    sorry you're going through that with your sister, hopefully it'll blow over soon...

    Sounds like my IL gatherings.

    Not fun. It's really upsetting when people don't just relax and enjoy planning a wedding. I don't understand how people get the gull to really bring "down" a bride's happiness by being negative about anything they can think of.

    If you feel this way, you don't need to voice it people! I just can't believe how many times my heart has been broken during planning this wedding because people decide to give their two cents when it wasn't wanted.

    Dang girl that sucks. Your right there is NO cheaper hotels in Nola. Sorry your going through this. If she keeps it up fire her lol. Don't make your wedding a bad experience just because she being like that. Tell her to suck it up n be happy. :) lol

    Isn't that the truth!!  But try not to stew on it to long! Go to sleep and forget about it. Nothing you can do to change other peoples crazy minds!

    Thanks ladies!! My mom says she does it just to get under my skin and it works! Also, FI thinks she's being this way because she's jealous that I'm getting married before her...who knows! I'm not gonna let it bother me anymore though. :)
