Meeting with our officiant on Saturday morning then an "Oktoberfest" party on Saturday night. I'm so glad there's something going on this weekend. I've been thinking entirely too much about the wedding and I just need to relax! :-)
Siggy Challenge - Favorite Pic of FI
- Tan and Fuzzy, Just the way I like him ;-)
Saturday - won tix for a Horse Power Rally Show at Showboat Casino. It's some kind of car show. Also won tix to see Blue Oyster Cult at House of Blues later that night, but I don't think we'll be going. At HOB, you don't have a seat to sit in at all, and I don't like "standing room only" concerts, and I"m not really into this group at all either (I know 2 songs from them).
Sunday - we're going to the Philadelphia Zoo with my mother, father, and 6 yo nephew, then seeing the Eagles game at my parents' house.
Saturday AM - Autism walk Saturday PM - Serenade for wedding that is on the 16th.
Sunday - attempting not to leave my bed. First day not having to wake up before 8 since Sept 3rd. God help me if my future crumb snatchers don't sleep, I will be selling them. When FI gets home from drill we will attempt to try and organize that place we call home.
Aforementioned wedding for friends of ours is this weekend.
Tonight is the RD. Tomorrow night, I am sleeping at my friend (bride)'s house before the wedding. Saturday is the wedding Sunday is recovery day, I'm sure. Probably all sorts of exciting laundry and cleaning going on too!

I have several radio stations' phone numbers programmed into my cell phone, and I know what times certain stations have their giveaways. I'm persistent: I keep dialing until either the radio station answers the phone or someone else beats me to it and wins the prize. The rest is luck!
ETA: Also, I have a 45-min. each way commute to work, so I do most of my listening in the car.
A - Nope, it is a "South Philly" tradition. It is actually an Italian wedding tradition. I found this paragraph to better explain.
"In some countries, the night before the wedding the groom organizes a serenade under the bride’s window. He is accompanied by friends and relatives – and naturally a musician with a violin, guitar or accordion. At the end of the serenade, the bride’s parents offer the entourage a rich buffet to thank them."
It is also common now for a mummers string band to come and play at the serenade. My serenade will be the week before at my parents house. I will take pictures and video to share.

Nicole - that is so awesome. I had never heard of that until you posted that!
Tonight - bootcamp if I'm feeling better. Tomorrow - No plans - wierd, considering the wedding is just over a week away. Saturday - getting hair touch-up, wedding errands Sunday - putting favors together all morning with my Mom and some of the bridesmaids - then FOOTBALL.
Friday night- headed over to the CB East Football game. It's their annual "Pink Out" and all procceds go to the Susan G. Koman Foundation. I'm trying to get the station to cover it too, but I don't think it's going to happen.
Saturday- I'm thinking about doing something outdoorsy. It's going to be in the high 60s and it's the first weekend of my faaavorite month. Hayride maybe? Cornmaze? Something. I'm willing to hear ideas if anyone has them. At night we were invited to our friends Bonnie and Andy's house to hang out.
Sunday- Busy. JEGs needs to get the Jetta inspected so we are heading to Thorndale at like 7:30 am. While we are waiting for that, we are going to meet my friend George in West Chester for breakfast, and then there is some sort of fall fest in Downingtown in the afternoon.
... I think we need to hit the Chadds Ford winery so I can have an official tour de Chester County on Sunday
Friday- dinner with the godparents Saturday- we're having 6 of our friends from high school come stay at our apartment so I'm sure that will be an interesting night haha I'm a German girl so I'm making some bratwurst, wiener schnitzel, spaetzel dumplings and sauerkraut for the gang to celebrate Oktoberfest! (and some pilsner and sam adams oktoberfest of course) Sunday- Eagles game! and hopefully relaxing

YAY!!! Have SO MUCH FUN!!!
We're heading to WV right after work for Oglebyfest... I know, you all are so jealous! We're going to spend the weekend hanging with DH's extended family, and I'm intrigued as to this festival thing because evidently there's a huge, very selective craft fair. So maybe I'm Christmas shopping this weekend?
And they're the five best friends that anyone could have, the five best friends that anyone could have!
Nicole - I love the serenade thing! My parents are from Overbrook and my dad gave my mom and unplanned, drunken serenade the night of his bachelor party haha.
I will be at the autism walk on Saturday as well - Volunteering with some of my friends. We just might hand you your tshirt, Nicole!
Sunday - Birthday party for my FI's nephew. I am the official cake baker for his party every year. This year's theme? Pirates! I am making this adorable pirate ship cake
