NO offense but when people do this and have never posted here before, I am more likely to go on and vote for somebody else. YOu are asking complete strangers to vote for you..no thanks!
I don't get the mentality of the 2 people above me. I mean, just don't vote. Why would anyone go out of their way to vote against the couple? Seems childish and petty to me.
That being said, I went to go vote for the OP, but didn't when it asked me to sign up/register, etc... I don't need more junk mail.

haha...so my question for you is are you really new around here or are you an AE just trying to stir up some interesting entertainment around here? Considering how boring it is around here lately, I will be interested to see how long you actually stick around! Things might actually get interesting again.

:). I'm new and plan on being here for a bit. I didn't know people hate those "vote for me!" threads. Also what is an "AE"? And what's an "MG" for that matter? Sorry, still new here. LOL
I'm happy to vote for anyone here who is actually someone who posts here for purposes other than getting votes in a contest. If someone comes on here who we've never heard of before asking for votes, it is spam. And in that situation I feel bad for the couples who DIDN'T spam random message boards asking for support, and therefore may vote for one of them. Not sure if that's how everyone else feels, but that's me.

Glad to hear you might stick around for awhile, maybe introduce yourself a little bit.
People don't like those threads because often it is some random person spamming the boards looking for votes, yet you have never seen them before and they will never be back. If it was someone that has been around for awhile and posted alot, I would have no problem going and voting for them.
An AE is an alter ego...we had a quite a few in the past that have brought us some good entertainment!
I didn't mean to offend so many people. I just thought it was a fun contest. I apologize. I wasn't doing it as spam or anything. I am on the knot everyday and get a lot of useful information from everyone. Sorry again.

It isn't that you offended anyone, I think it is more that you only have a very small number of posts and people don't really recognize you, yet you are asking people to vote for you.
I do think it takes a lot of nerve to come on here and ask all these strangers to vote for you.. why should we vote for you if none of us really even know who you are? I'm not saying I'd go and purposely vote for someone else, and if I knew who you were I'd have no problem voting for you.. I can't say "pay for your own wedding" though.. if you are in a contest, that's cool.. and good luck.. but we don't just vote for strangers...
