Dessert Buffet Decor...

I've seen so many pretty pics of dessert buffets and am wondering if anyone here has done them or are planning on doing one?  My florist and I discussed a tablecloth, but how else have/would you spruce it up?  I don't want to add anymore real flowers, but am open to other ideas!

Re: Dessert Buffet Decor...

  • My boss had one at his wedding. I have pics of it. Usually the decor is minimal I think. They are nice but at my boss' wedding I was too full to eat any of it. Dinner and wedding cake is plenty for me.
  • We had a gelato bar with many different toppings. It was soooo good! I didn't do much decor, just a pretty tablecloth. Once everything is on the table, there isn't much room for much else. I have seen really cute candy bars using different jars & containers. But since mine was more perishable & being refilled constantly, that would have been hard to do. I suggest you google dessert bars. Oh, and make sure it is all labeled for your guests!

Here is the one at my boss' wedding:

I did a candy buffet and I just had flower petals, candles, and signs.

  • Generally I see them with handmade/DIY banners that say something like, "Love Is Sweet". Less is more IMO and there are really cute things you can do with them.

We had a popcorn station & used different shapes and sized of jars and a tablecloth with boxes underneath to make the jars different heights!  I loved it!
I can't get the picture to attach!!! Sorry!
