Seat-length vs floor-length linens

We're having a tented reception with no flooring and need advice whether floor-length linens would still be advisable.

I love how much more elegant floor-length linens look and would want to hear from other brides who are going with this option!

    we're using floor length outside. i don't like the way lap length linens look though. i don't think it'll be a problem.

    That's what I thought! Someone told me it can be an issue since the ground is not perfectly even but if it's flat enough for tables, it's flat enough for linens, yes? Thank you!

    For our tented reception they are using square linens but the tables are round.  So they reach the floor at the four points, and cover up the legs of the tables but are shorter on the sides.  I had originally wanted floor length, but realized how much extra it was going to be to rent the longer linens and after seeing pictures I realized that it wasn't that important to me and I'd rather spend the money on something that was.

    I went with seat length, something seems off to me with having floor length :)

    Basically it's completely up to you :)

    It would cost $140 to upgrade from seat-length to floor-length with the package we're getting from our caterer so I had them credit the amount back to us for not renting their linens and buying our own.

    After everything, I would even save $20 and have floor length linens instead of seat length so I'm going for it!

    We opted for seat length. They were free with our reception package.

    I would not opt for floor length outdoors.  The bugs could crawl right up onto the table.  Floor length is also a pain for those sitting at the table.
