bookmarks??

So, we are having afall themed wedding, and i LOVE to read! i found these copper/metal bookmarks, and the shape of a leave with a tassle on the end.  is that tacky?

I wanted to do something i had never seen before, and something besides candy.  im always turned off when i see candy for some reason at weddings. 

honest opinion please

    I think it's a great idea, but I'm also an avid reader so I may be biased lol IMO as long as you don't personalize them with your names and wedding date than they'll be fine.

    I like to read a lot too so I would like this!  Agreed on the candy - unless you're going to have a specialty food or candy, I'm sick of getting colored M&Ms at weddings.

    One of H's cousins gave bookmarks as favors at her wedding a few weeks ago.  I was the only person at our table of 9 that took the favor.  Now I'm not eve sure what I did with it.

    Anyway, I think it's a cute idea, but just be prepared to have a lot of left over bookmarks.

    Since I usually use what post-it note is closest to me as a bookmark, I'd like this favor.  But my DH and one of my DD's who are not readers wouldn't be thrilled.  But you'd make me very happy!  =)

    non readers might leave them behind, but as a reader I would definilty take one home. just be prepared to find places for the ones left behind

    I think they're cute, but I read a lot.  I agree with PP that you'll probably have a lot of leftovers.

    If a lot get left behind you could always donate them to a local school or library. I'm not that into reading but when I do I like bookmarks. I think almost everytime I buy a book I buy a new bookmark. I also like using them as gift tags. Very unique idea. A+
