Tell Us Tuesday

Now that summer is over :::tear::: what was your favorite non-wedding related memory from the past few months? What are you looking forward to most in the autumn?

Fav NWR summer memory: going to Chicago for the 4th of July. We go every year and hang out with FBIL/FSIL. I love all the little restaurants and bars in Lincoln Park :) I'm looking forward to changing leaves, crisp air, cider mills, boot/coat/scarf/hat, and endless supplies of pumpkin spice coffee. Fall is the best season ever!!

I loved going up north with my FI for a vacation up in Port Austin.

I'm looking forward to cider mills, apple picking, apple cider, and bonfires without all the mosquitoes (they seem to bite me less in the fall and I'm a mosquito magnet).

NWR summer fun: I worked 2 jobs/7 days a week/70 hours a week ... but I am so thankful I had two jobs I really liked. I worked at a summer camp (where Dan and I met!) because I love being outside and I love children, and I was a lifeguard at an apartment complex in Southfield (they have an olympic size pool)  - I don't know if I could ever have an office job because I love being outside so much and I like changing things up everyday.
There's not really one memory that totally sticks out, but it was like any other summer - it went by too fast!

And, well, I'm getting married in the autumn sooooo there's that.. but NWR... I'm really enjoying 2 out of 3 of my classes this semester because they're both health classes that fascinate me. (The 3rd is computer programming.. yippee!)

NWR:  Loved going up to a friends cottage for one weekend.  We had so much fun!

Looking forward to the sounds and smells of falls.  Cruching of leaves on the ground, the colors in the trees.  Carmel apples and pumpkin pies!  :)  Oh and we're getting our engagement photos finally taken this fall!  :)

NWR: I got my PhD.  That was pretty great.  This whole summer is a blur between that (on July 18) and the wedding (on August 13).  Its a surreal experience to have everything you've been working for happen at once.

Looking forward to football (ok, that already started), and pumpkin-flavored goodness.

This is sad, but I totally had to look at my calendar to even remember what I DID this summer. Sadly, there were no vacations, but there were a couple great dinners out and a bunch of Tigers games on cool summer evenings.

As for fall, I'm looking forward to cooler weather and breaking out my sweaters. Last March/April, I was so sick of my winter clothes, and now I'm sick of my summer clothes!

My favorite part of the summer was obviously the wedding but since I can't break my own rule I'll say that taking possession of our new house was the best.  Even with all the crap that we've had to deal with since moving in, it's been great!

I am looking forward to jeans and sweatshirt weather.  I love it :)  Although I hate winter so it's bitter sweet.

My favorite was weekends on the boat with just me and FI.  Sometimes he gets super wrapped up in inviting people over every weekend that I start to miss alone time. ( We see each other bascially only on the weekend.)  So when we get time to ourselves I love it.   I will say I also loved my girls trip with my sister, my FSIL, and my cousin to Chicago.  I just rememered that and it was a blast.

I am looking most forward to hot spiked cider by the fire and the color change. I love fires in the backyard in the fall.

I am looking forward to my wedding too...but that doesn' t count!!

My fave part of summer was going to the Tigers games.

I'm looking forward to going to Bronner's with FI in the fall.  He's a huge Christmas geek and I took him there last year.  He'd never been there before.   Now he wants to go back every year

My favorite summer memory is definitely spending time up north with FI and my families. I'm looking forward to trips to the local cider mill for cider/doughnuts- sad right?!

My favorite memory this summer was the birth of my nephew. He was born at 32 weeks so we were all really worried about him initially, but he's been quite the trooper!

I'm looking forward to moving out to California in October to be with my FI finally, but before then I hope we can hit up Jenny's Farm Stand in Dexter. They don't make their own cider but they make the BEST donuts I have ever tasted!!!
