The KNot Budget Tool - is it just me???

Ok. I love that TK has this great tool. BUT when I delete things from the budget this money does not get reallocated anywhere!!!

OR am I missing something? I went onto wedding wire just to check out their budget tool and every time I delete something it lets me reallocate right away.. but I would rather be able to do it all on one site considering thats the ONLY thing I go to wedding wire for!

GRRRRRR

Re: The KNot Budget Tool - is it just me???

  • I noticed that too! It's very frustrating! I haven't figured it out yet, lol.
  • It is! I have free'd up several thousand dollars by deleting somethings that are not being included in our budget, and its just disappeared! Come on TK!

  • I would definitely not recommend any of TK's tools, at least don't rely on them.
What I did is, used their tool to make a list, because their comprehensive list is great, but the tool is not.
    Excel is your friend.
  • I second not using TK tool....I also used it to make a list, and I keep the budget in excel.  :)

  • I finally had my computer nerd fiance do the excel spreadsheet too and have it calculate everything instead. Excel rocks.
  • I actually don't use any of the tools from TK either, according to them, I am wayyyyy behind on my tasks... I just keep up with everything in my bridal binder and my wedding coordinator keeps me on track also

  • yeah, it is not being my friend. I would recommend the wedding wire budget tool though. I have an excel to keep track of my payments, but jsut for a general idea of what I am looking at its a lot more user friendly! I figure between looking at TK's general recomendations, wedding wire, and then my binder I should have a good idea of what I should be looking at!

  • I'm using Wedding Wire tools. They seem to be much better.

  • I started using wedding wire, but eventually I just let my coordinator give me a breakdown.

  • I am glad other people are having trouble too. I was starting to think it was only me! I had to revert to Excel myself.
  • That's weird. I've not had any trouble with the budgeter and we are using solely that.

  • I noticed that too!
I made my guest list (with addresses) on a PagesDoc then noticed the Guest List thingy.  I added all the guests there just so I could have them in one place and it is nice to have the number at the top.  I also like making other guest lists on it.
The budget one though.....not working out so well for me.
