HELP! Mother's dresses & Cake topper

Ladies! I need ideas for where to look for mother of the bride/groom dresses, we live in Mansfield and the mothers are looking to spend under $200 if possible. Both mothers are looking for tea length, my mom is very petitie and "hip" and his mom is small, but busty and more classy conservative.

Also, we are looking for a silver monogramed R about 5" with swaroski crystals and all the ones I have found online are $100+

Any suggestions?

My mom found her dress randomly at a boutique for around $70, but out wedding was super casual.

Have you checked Etsy for the cake topper? This popped up early in the results list, but I'm sure if you browse the website there's a lot more to choose from:

I think many of the Mom's have gotten dresses in regular department stores. I haven't gotten this far with my Mom yet but I'm sure that's where she will go to Dillards or Macy's or something to that effect.

As far as cake toppers the only place I can think of off hand is Etsy. i just ordered mine from there. I've actually ordered a few odds and ends for the wedding from Etsy.

FI's mom got her dress from David's Bridal (but I'm sure you've already considered that). My mom hasn't gotten hers yet. We have been to one small boutique which was nice, but didn't have a lot of options. We're going to try out a few more this weekend. One is Pence & Panache in Burleson (so that not be too far for you). There's a certain brand that she's looking for and they only carry it at a few stores.

Both of our mothers and grandmothers got their dresses at Terry Costa.

Have you thought about DIYing your cake topper? I know alot of girls do. You could try the DIY board for help.

I found one I like on Etsy but it's 85+shipping... I just have a hard time paying that for a cake topper... I guess beggers cant be choosers. I think my mom will end up getting something from Dillards or Macy's also, but I wanted to give her some more options to choose from.

My Future MIL found a lot of really cute stuff at Pence and Panache, I am pretty sure it is all designer wear so I think ordering a dress may take 4-6wks

I could try, but I am not the craftiest person! haha we have done a few DIY projects that look nice (by we i mean I had an idea..then said Babe can you make this!! lol)

Well if you want Swarovski crystals, then you'll be paying for them. I have seen them DIY'd though which is why I suggested it.

My MIL got her dress from the Dilliards outlet. Try different department store, you may be able to find something on clearance even.

My cake topper sounds similar to what you are describing. I got it from Michael's (Mansfield even) I don't think they were real Swvarski crystals, but no one looked that closely.

We got the Mother of the Groom dress from Nordstrom's Rack. They have a huge variety as well as petite sizes. We spent $40 and her dress looked great! They have conservative and trendy styles.
