Daily checks

I started my pomanders since I got ready quickly for work.  The glue gun + coffee filters + paper lantern combination work well and can be done quickly.  I did 2 1/2 rows in about 15 minutes.

  • Sounds like many of you got a lot done this weekend - great job!  I accomplishd the following:
    - scheduled a time (next weekend) to go choose the tuxes
    - emailed the venue the items we want to taste, so hopefully our menu tasting will be scheduled soon
    - all of my BM's have decided they want their hair done, so I let the hair/makeup vendor know - I'm really looking forward to everyone getting ready together!
    - My dress shop contacted me - my veil and shoes came in and they are now shipping them and my wedding dress to me!  Can't wait for them to arrive, so I can start alterations.
Booked the ceremony musicians - guitar and flute

NWR - painted my kitchen over the weekend.  Feels good to get that done (I still have most of the house left to paint).  I really want it done before my family comes out for the wedding!

  • Congrats on all the checks ladies!

Good thing this was a 2.5 day weekend for me. (I work at a bank until 2 on Saturdays)  SUnday was pretty much all football.

-Had a tasting and pretty much decided to go with that caterer.  Now just waiting to hear back from her.
-picked up our bands from the jewelers
-I started cutting the pocket part of our kangaroo pocket invitation
-first coat of paint is on the cardbox
-the envelopes I ordered for invites and rsvps came on Saturday
-we should be getting our monogram stamp from the etsy seller tomorrow in the mail
    - our cake topper came on Saturday from Crafty Eddy :)
And my sister sent me a mock up of my bridal shower invitation.  It totally fits me, I LOVE zebra stripe since I was little.  My first car even had all the zebra stripe interior everything!  And it's on St. Patrick's day.  Couldn't be more fitting, my favorite color as well as my wedding color is green :)
Finally, I'm starting to feel productive again.

  • Wow-looks like everyone has been kicking butt!
Last week: FI and I went to our travel agent at AAA and booked and paid for our excursions for our honeymoon cruise. FI also sent in a check paying off the rest of our HM cruise! FI, his mom, and dad went and chose and put the deposit down on our rehearsal dinner venue while I was at work. (I was a little upset I didn't get to go, but I've been to the venue before so I wasn't too upset-sounds bratty, I know).
Today: I had off and my mom and I went and searched for more dresses for her. We are going back to the bridal shop Saturday so FI's mom can go along to help my mom decide (my mom wants another opinion). I also chose, ordered, and put the deposity down on my skirt (that is worn underneath my gown) and my tiara! So excited to finally have all my excessories finished except for my clutch.
I also found a cute dress at the mall that I got on sale for $15.99 that I will wear to dinner one night on our cruise!
Great job ladies on all your checks!

Today we went to David's bridal to pick out a BM dress for my sister. We bought fabric for reception decorations. And I am working on my DIY list and figuring out where to start! :)

  • I finished my bouquet and my MOH bouquet. I did the Martha Stewart paper roses I wanted to do - it took alot of work but they turned out beautifully.

    We worked on our timeline.
I met with the girl that cuts my hair to discuss some potential hairstlyes as I do not want to wear an updo.
    Fiance made a beautiful sign.
Ordered a stamp for our invites.

  • We started our registries today since we were both off work! Macy's and Bed Bath & Beyond!

We also got our DJ mess sorted out, got our transportation sorted (limo for BP and a really cute open air trolley for the guests), reserved our linens supplier, got our contract ready to sign for the rehearsal dinner... a few other things I can't remember. :)
