Gift ideas?

Is anyone getting a gift for their parents? If so, what? I'm at a loss here!

Both sets of parents are getting wedding albums through our photographer. We're also picking some souvenirs up for them on our honeymoon (we're going to Hawaii).

They both told us they don't want us buying them presents....

I know we'll be getting our parents something else but one thing I am planning is to dry some of the flowers from my bouquet and use them to make bookmarks for our mothers and his grandmother. I'd like to send them in the Thank You cards.

we are in the same boat. I would love to give them something expensive but right now it is not in the cards. But once the wedding is over we will take them out for a really nice dinner and give them their parent albums as soon as they are done.

They're both getting albums and I bought some handkerchiefs from Etsy that are embroidered with a phrase that I thought was appropriate. For my mom, because she's paying for the whole wedding (well, 90% of it), I am bringing her on a weekend trip some time after the wedding. She loves country music and wants to go to Nashville, so I'm going to surprise her.

We are just doing wedding albums and nice thank you cards. My parents don't want or expect gifts, but they do love pictures. My mom hounds me all the time to give her pictures I've taken at family events, so she'll at least appreciate a wedding album.

We are giving parent albums for Christmas, the day of the rehersal we are giving our mother's a piece of jewelry to wear (my mom a braclet - his mom a necklace) - nothing crazy just a small something that will look nice with their dresses. We are also giving his grandmother an engraved handkerchief from etsy. The dad's are both impossible to shop for so we are at a loss for them...

I am doing a mulit-picture frame for both mothers. I am making it their Chirstmas presents. I am putting a picture of my mom and me with other pictures around it for my mom's gift. Then I will put a a picture of FI and his mom in the other frame with more pictures around it too.

They have asked us not to buy them anything...however, we plan on buying my parents their plane tickets when they fly down here for a cruise we're hoping to go on next year...

They'll be getting wedding photos of us as well.

I think the wedding album is a great idea. Pictures preserve memories, and pictures that just sit on the computer aren't the same as having them in printed form. Personally I'm a big fan of picture album books. But some other ideas are personalized gifts, which, in my opinion are usually fairly sentimental. I know for my grandparents and parents they love having pictures of their children and grandchildren on display. You could always get them an engraved picture frame with a wedding picture. But there are more than just peronalized picture frames. For exmaple at GiftThings.net.
