My first wedding snag

I know I'm lucky that this snag happened with only four months to go, but...

I picked up the wedding invitations today.  It came in a square envelope.  Argh!  I was specifically trying to avoid the square invites/envelopes because I know they require more postage.

I got caught off guard because FI and I wrote our own invites.  Turns out we're wordy and needed longer invites to fit everything we wrote.  So we purchased tri folder invitations and got the dreaded square envelopes.

I'll be going to the post office next week to weigh and get the news.  Keep your fingers crossed. I had my heart set on the wedding cake stamps.

The good news is that it's a tiny snag.  Honestly, I remember wanting fancy stamps and I didn't get them- I don't remember what I did get.  We had square envelopes too, and I think they were around $1.00.  If it's not too much extra, you could do the cake and the rings or roses...  Hope it works out!

haha - I was the opposite. I hate the traditional wedding stamps.  For our return postcards, we got Supreme Court justice stamps.  (it also fits what we do so people thought it was funny).

at least it's just a minor stamp issue.

i quite liked using the polar bear stamps on our save the date postcards (a beach scene for our destination wedding) Wink
