Proposal stories

Hey ladies!  I'm bored at work so was just wondering how everyone got proposed to.  Please post your stories or the link to your wedding website.  Here's mine from my bio:

March 21, 2011 was filled with Mike telling me a whole bunch of sweet things. On my ride home from work, he text me and said "In a few short hours, our lives will be changed." I called and asked him what he was talking about but he wouldn't tell me. I get home and he tells me to change because we're going to the mall. I go in the room to change and he starts anxiously rushing me around. We get to the mall and go into a jewelry store. He asks the lady to see a ring. She gives it to me and I try it on. He doesn't like it so we look at a few more and leave. We go into another jewelry store and as we're waiting to be helped, I ask why we're doing this again as he already knows the style and size. He ignores me as a lady asks to assist us. I try on a couple more and he still isn't satisfied so he picks one last one out and I try it on. It's not my style but I like the way it looks so he says I'll take it. I said RIGHT NOW? He never answered because he was on his way to the register. On the way out the mall, he asks where I want to eat. I chose Red Lobster since it was the closest. In the middle of dinner he leaves the table (I find out afterwards it was to call my father and ask him for my hand in marriage. My father's answer was, "I was wondering what you were waiting for"). The whole time he's gone, I'm wondering what he has up his sleeve. We finish up dinner and head out to the car. I get the kids settled in the backseat while he fiddles around in the trunk. I get into the passenger seat and turn to my left to put the baby bag away. I turn to my right to close the door and Mike is on his knee with the ring in his hand. He nervously tells me how much he loves me and asks me to marry him. I said YES and we head to my parents house to spread the news.

LMBO!   One of my FI's many talents is computer engineering.  That's what he got his Bachelor's degree in.  We did have to pay like $50 but it is for the year, so it was worth it to us.  Most if not all of both families is out of town so this was a really good investment for us to communicate to everybody at once.  Thanks so much for the compliment and it's totally cool if you wanna hit me up for ideas.

BTW: I loved your proposal story.  Your FI knows what he wants! LOL

Wow! Your FI is very talented! I think your site should be wedding website of the year he did a VERY good job. I loved it!
BTW: My sister graduated from U of M in 2006 and pledged Zeta so she may know your FI, and I lived in Cordova after Katrina... but Anyway, its just good to be able to finally identify certain things in one of my fellow knottie's lives other than just weddings.

January 1, 2011: Me and one of my closest friends went to visit FI and his family in MD for the New Year. We had a little get together with some of the fam, and were honestly drinking a little too much. At midnight, his sister kept watching him (as did I because he still hadn't kissed me!), and after the kiss we just kept chillin with the fam.
It was getting late, and around 3:15 am we started to clean up all the mess... I wasn't feelin to well so I asked FI if I could lay down. He took me to his room, and as I was getting ready to lay down he told me to hold on real quick.. said he had to fix the sheets on the bed (or so he said)...

I stood back up, and he stepped over to me and gave me the biggest hug ever!... I hugged him back and told him that I loved him.. and when we were finished with the embrace he had the ring in his hand!... the lil bugger had taken the ring out of the box while he was hugging me... I jumped up and down and asked him if he was serious, and then he popped the question, and I swear after every word we kissed... it was sooo sweet, and my closest friend was one of the first people to know!

I later found out that that was not the way he had planned to propose to me.. he wanted to do it once the balled dropped in front of the family.. but his brother disappeared to talk to his boo before he could do anything... I don't care though... I love the way he did it... it was intimate and sweet and I couldn't have asked for anything better!
