out of curiosity Ladies, how are you assigning your guests seats? Are you making sure they have someone at the table they know or someone they don't like (LOL!)? taking relationship issues in consideration? Also what are you doing with your bridal party? are you having them with you or they will sit with their partners?

    We're doing a seating chart they're assigned to tables but we're not assigning specific seating.  I'm mostly going by personalities, I have a Russian table, sarcastic table, an older but still fun table, a couples table, and then 2 tables made up of people who dont fit into the previous 4 categories.  I did take into account politics to a degree since this is such a political town so I tried to keep hard core republicans away from hard core liberals. 

    We're doing a sweetheart table and I don't have a bridal party.  The last wedding I was at the bride had all her BMs sit at one table with their husbands/bf and another table the same for the groomsmen.  She filled any leftover space with couples she thought would go well with the group (we were at the BM table).

    I'm doing a sweetheart tables, but we are having the bridal party table. The BMs and their SO or guests will sit at one table and the GM and their SO/guest will sit at another table. I am doing assigned tables. I figure people that's all the guidance people need.

    We are doing assigned seating and seat. There will be a sweetheart table and a bp table including spouses and bf or gf. I don't like the thought of s/o  seating seperated and that would require extra seating.

    We're having a sweet hearts table and sitting the bp with their spouses and dates at a different table.

    We're assigning tables. It will definitely be based on personalities and relationships. I'll put the drinkers together and the the church goers together. My nana wants to be no where near my first cousin. That will be the only thing I would hear about all night, if I let it happen. lol And so on and so on.

    We're having a sweetheart table and assigning people to tables but not specific seats.  The wedding party members will sit with their SO.  I tried to assign people to tables where they would know other people or have something in commin with the folks at that table, i.e. in the same fraternity/sorority, from the same city, etc.

    We are doing assigned tables. IDK how it's going to be broken down. I guess we'll figure it out closer to the day...

    We are doing assigned tables like most people said. We are also have a sweet heart table and have the wedding party sit with their guest.

    We are not doing a seating chart at all. I dont wont to bother with that headache. I'm having the BP sit at the head table for dinner only and a few pics. After that they are free to mingle. Hope it works out well. But most of FI's GM are single except Best Man.

    We have talked about assigning tables, but not specific seats. More or so just so my friends can be all seated together and then all my family and my mom can figure out all the people she is inviting.
    We are having 2 seperate events with each of our families because he is from Europe and his parents won't fly to California, more or less because with his dad's heart condition he can't fly. For his family event I don't think there will be charts and if so I'm not doing them since I only know 3 members of his family...mom, dad, and grandma.

    We just have a few reserved tables for family and then everyone else can find their own seat. The tables will be named after different sci fi ships so people can be called to go in line for the buffet but that's it.

    I am leaning to a sweetheart table with assigned tables. I don't want to hear that so and so can't sit with their partner. I also hate head tables and how they look.
