Engagement photo question???

We're getting our engagement photos taken on Friday and I'm kinda freaking out a little bit. I have some ideas of what kind of pictures I want, but I'm afraid I won't like my pictures as much as some other people's that I have seen. Have any of you had this "problem" and how have you dealt with it?
Also, I'm curious to what everyone else's favorite photos are, either of your own or ones you've seen.

Re: Engagement photo question???

  • I was so worried for weeks before the photos, I think I went shopping 5 different times to make sure I had at least two outfits and I only ended up wearing one lol. We got lucky with our photographer and he put us into great poses. We didn't really tell him anything besides the location we wanted. I think it's natural to be nervous, but once we got about 5 minutes into it I wasn't really nervous anymore. The only problem was having random people watching and asking what we were doing, made it a little awkward. But we were at a very popular beach in San diego.

  • A good photographer will get great shots and be able to pose you well.
We had a clear concept of what we wanted our e pics to be, so that really helps. It helps to have atleast a feel or concept you are going for, but like I said a good photographer will get great shots no matter how nervous you are.
Especially if this photographer will be doing you wedding, don't be afraid to talk to them about the two of you, and relling jokes/laughing is definitely okay to do! It gets some great shots :)

Agreed. :) Just try to consider what kind of pictures you guys want, as in traditional posed pics, artsy pics, candid pics, or a mix of them! We made sure our photographer knew we wanted the cutesy posed pics, but also some creative or candid ones.

  • I was really nervous before our pictures also. We let our photographer have full reign over ours. I knew what types of pictures I didn't want (when people peer around a tree at each other, I find this to be cheesy for example) and luckily she didn't try to have us do anything like that.
