Wedding Dresses

I had such a fabulous experience at Yvonne Lafluer, that I felt I should post it. They were the only place I went to that was able to listen to what I was looking for, and advise what would look best with my body type/coloring, without being the slightest bit off-putting. Plus they make a great big deal of you purchasing the dress, and really seem to value the business. They have followed up with my on special accessories as they have come in and they were so great with my mom, who never dresses up and was really nervous about the MOB dress. The best part = no dress was over $1500!

I did also go to Wedding Belles and Bustles and Bows, and both were fine, just not as special.

A good friend of mine left Pearl's Place crying because they were so awful, so I refused to go there.

Thanks for the tip! I've been wondering where to go--my best friend had a terrible experience with pearl's, so I swore them off.

i had a decent experience with pearls.  i finally purchased my dress on the second visit and requested a new salesperson who was great.  the first visit the sales person didn't seem very interested and was all about me pulling the dresses myself.  i was hoping she could suggest dresses based on the definite style and price range i had expressed.  i couldn't beat their prices for my dress or my bridesmaid dresses.  the bridesmaid dresses were $60 cheaper than any place i found in California (for the same dress).  i just made sure to call every week to get a status on my dress.  they said it would be in ~june and it came in mid july, plenty of time for my december wedding.  if you are patient and have time, its worth a visit.

I didn't really enjoy Pearl's Place.  They had a great selection but the person I worked with was kind of pushy.  I did not like the selection at Linda Lee & the salespeople weren't particularly helpful.  I absolutely LOVED Bustles & Bows.  I found the perfect dress and it wasn't even expensive.  In addition, the owner Shelley is so awesome and sweet.  I loved having her help me.  And the rest of the employees are just as great.

Went to Yvonne Lafluer and purchased my dress from her.  Big mistake and total disaster.  After five bad fittings I went and got a sample dress from Town and Country.

A lot of people recommended Pearl's Place to me, but after reading this thread I'm starting to reconsider! I'm definitely interested in Bustles and Bows because they are the only store that carries designs from Eden Bridals. Is Yvonne Lafleur a shop or a person, and what are some of the deisgners available?

Yvonne is the shop owner and designer and only carries her designs.

I had no problems with Pearl's Place.  I can tell you, for certain, that Yvonn's bridal gowns are not her designs at all.  At least most of them.  I saw the same dresses at Demetrios's store in Houston and Dallas.  They are not original designs.  I had no problems with Pearl's Place, they are very busy for sure on Saturdays.  I convinced my boss to let me shop on weekdays anyway.
