SO, here we are, 5 days out from the wedding and being the procrastinator I am, I am needing some ideas for first dance, mother/son and father/daughter songs. I don't want anything too mushy and sad, but still something meaningful. We kind of like Corey Smith's First Dance for ours http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2becq6ChjM&feature=youtube_gdata_player But still aren't sure. I would love to see what you ladies are using because the google lists full of "butterfly kisses" and Celine Dion are just not what I'm looking for

Our first dance song is "Come Away With Me" Norah Jones. My dad and I are dancing to "Walk With Me" Edwin McCain and FI and his mom are dancing to "Perfect Fan" Backstreet Boys.

Only thing decided so far is father/daughter dance. I told my dad to pick. He chose "I Loved Her First" by Heartwood. Quite a mushy song. I know we'll both be crying to it. But, I wanted him to pick it.

Mother/Son - "I Wish" Rascal Flatts

Lol you can tell our different styles. FI and I are having a vintage themed wedding and LOVE Sinatra, so it was only natural we have him for our First Dance. My dad is big on Classic Rock and I grew up with Boston, Scorpions, BTO, etc etc. It was REALLY hard to find a song but I stumbled upon it and it was PERFECT! I wanted a song that reminded me of my dad. And FMIL is big on country music (we are SO not) so she picked Rascal Flatts, it was either that or "I Hope You Dance" by Leanne Womack, which I'm glad she didn't go with becase I'm a mess with that song.

First dance- Unforgettable
Father/daughter and mother/son (combined)- Little Miss Magic by Jimmy Buffett.

thanks to my father, I could sing along to Buffett when I was 4 so it only seems appropriate that we dance to a song that Buffett wrote for his daughter. FI and FMIL are dancing to it as well because it just seems good for a parent/child dance and both he and my dad are nervous about dancing and would prefer to get that part over with quickly.
