Food Options

I'm updating my wedding website with the food choices, but I am wondering if i should have the guest choose between:

beef with prawn
chicken
salmon
vegetarian

or is it better if i write, please choose between

AAA Canadian Tenderloin of beef with tiger prawn, melted goats cheese and thyme mashed potatoes, bourbon au poivre jus
or
Roasted Breast of Chicken   etc etc etc.

Opinions please! TIA!

My mouth went ZOMG when I read the beef description with the details.  Definitely give the details.

Details are definitely useful-- it sounds better and makes sure nobody accidentally orders something they're allergic to or hate.

agree with the PP. I love chicken but I wouldn't eat it if it was covered in a sauce I hate. Descriptions are definitely useful.

<div>I agree! The "beef with prawn" sounded good until I read that it was covered in melted goat cheese. I don't like goat cheese, so that would be nice to know when making my dinner decision. </div>

Details are also a good idea for people with allergies.

I personally LOVE melted goat cheese, but about 75% of the people i know would no way in heck eat that beef if it appeared on the table with goat cheese! So my vote is to have the full menu description.
