So I'm back from Disney with wedding updates and a couple pics (I should have pros back by the end of the month, so I'll be sure to do a real bio then)!
For starters, I'm married (YAY!). And the wedding totally rocked. Everything went pretty much perfectly and there was very minimal drama that day, so WHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
A few "not-so-great" things:
*I stayed at my parents' house the night before, and first thing in the morning, my older sister pretty much was up my mom and my butt complaining about
everything. About 2 hours into, I wound up having a mini-zilla moment, pretty much said "I'm sick of all your crap, this is
my day (Yeah, I dropped the MD bomb, eep!)
, if you can't go a single day without being a miserable biotch, then do us all a favor and don't bother coming at all". Felt awful the minute the words came out of my mouth, but really, I'd had it, and in my (miniscule) defense, it literally was
my day at that point ... and she proceeded to leave me alone after that. I actually wasn't sure if she would wind up showing, but about an hour before the ceremony, she poppoed into the bridal suite where I was getting dressed and she was dressed with her hair done, and was extremely nice to me, so things went smoothly on that front.
*The Best Man's FI (Who is about a month physically older than my little sister, but about 12 years younger in the maturity and sanity dept) showed up in a prom gown, danced like she was at some hippie love-in (Big swaying arm motions, lolling head, dramatic dips, etc), made literally a million innapropriate/irrelevant comments thoughout the night (Ex: a few of my friends were discussing their new puppy at one point, this girl interjects "I once got drunk in Romania and lost a game of strip poker" ... this is what got back to me anyway) ... and overall was just insane. Many people asked me or my mom "Who is that girl and what is her deal?", quite a few tacked on "Is she drunk/on drugs?". But on the bright side, I always say "Every wedding has a Crazy Aunt Rita", we just got lucky that we aren't actually
related to ours (And that we rarely see her ever). Also, while I don't particularly care for her, I saw her for a grand total of 2 minutes, so it barely effected me.
*The moms got seated, the BMs were ready to walk in ... when the RB (Who was standing up where he should have been already) announces for the world to hear "I HAVE TO PEE!!!!!!" and bolted from the room to go. After he got back, the ceremony went off without a hitch. Also, in the middle of the formal pics (Which, we made sure to do his first to try and avoid this), he just randomly yelled out "THIS IS BORING! WHAT'S THE POINT OF ALL THIS?" and then started complaining about the ceremony (Which was already over).
*During the reception, DH's (Oh, weird!) side kept doing the clinking glasses for kissing (My family hates this tradition, so we never have it at weddings). Which annoyed the living crap out of me. After the first hour, I kept telling him "No, I'm ignoring it, I'm tired of doing and if we ignore it, it will stop". But it didn't stop, whoever did it would just bang the glass harder (To the point where I'm surprised glasses didn't get broken) until we did it. It wouldn't have annoyed the crap out of me if every time we finally broke down and kissed, the FOG (Who was drunk off his
@$$ before I even walked down the aisle) didn't scream (And I do mean
scream) "GET A ROOM, YOU TWO!!!!!". It didn't ruin my night, but it ... well, annoyed the crap out of me, lol.
A few really awesome things:
*Everybody in the BP (Including the Best Man, if you couldn't tell) showed up, on time, in clothes that fit. The moms had insisted on matching jewelry and shoes ... but for the life of me, I can't remember if anybody actually wore the stuff, lol.
*I had hand-picked 90% of the playlist (Yes, neurotic, but I actually loved doing it), people raved about the music selection we had.
*I can truly advocate the sweetheart table now. Aside from the clinking glasses, everybody pretty much left us alone when we were seated, and we really did enjoy the 5 minute periods of peace it gave us.
*Aside from the "Crazy Aunt Rita" comments, we didn't get a single piece of negative feedback. Everybody had a blast (The dance floor was packed most of the night, and actually a lot of our guests were an older generation), they raved about the food, the music, the cake (Apparently, not too many people usually eat the wedding cake, or so we were told). We got our little bits of dorkiness in there, so you could clearly see it was
our wedding, but it balanced so perfectly with all of the "normal" stuff we picked, so it was blantantly theme-y.
Overall: my wedding had CLASS!

Re: My wedding had CLASS!
Our florist (DH's cousin) actually did this as a surprise for us when he found out DH proposed to me in a giant flower heart in our living room, (Engagement heart below this)
Walking down the aisle:
I'm such a dork, as soon as I took his hands I started giggling and said "Hi" to him, lol:
This was not our first dance, but this came out better than those, lol:
This was the cake, note the Disney Precious Moments we got in there:
This was us cutting the cake ... probably the best pic where you can see both of us:
Another where you get both faces. Not the best shot, but you can see how happy we are:
I only wish I could see what the front of my face looked like:
Last slow song of the night, I was so happy, I actually started crying:

I can't wait to see pictures!
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.
Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
And I'm jealous that you went to WDW. Very jealous.

Oh, Tide, congrats on the baby, she's beautiful! I had a feeling you'd been missing due to mommy-hood.
And we had a blast in Disney. It kinda sucked because the week before we checked the weather report, and it was predicted to be like in the 60s all week, which is what we packed for. When we got there, they were hit with an unexpeceted cold front (I loved how everybody kept telling us "It hasn't been this cold since the 1970's ... figures my HM would bring in the record lows of the 30s and 40s, lol). Aside from freezing our butts off, the weather itself was great, it was sunny and clear every day. The first few days were great overall, the last day was kinda tough because we went to Hollywood Studios (The only day that week they were running Fantasmic) and the Disney Marathon people were all in town, so it was pretty crowded.
I will highly reccommned the Deluxe Dining Plan to anybody. FI and I had an absolute blast eating everywhere and not worrying about ordering the most expensive thing on the menu. It was awesome ... though we ate so much, I think we need to like fast for a week to get it all out of our systems, lol.

My Married Bio updated March 4
"I think bablingbrooke is the 13 yr old marring her cousin at the town hall. Lets all give her a big hand. And hope her inbred children can live normal lives." -tabs.
A word of warning from your friends at Cracked.com: Remember that text is going to be how you make your first impression over the internet; if every third word you type is misspelled, people will automatically assume that you're a moron.
FWIW, I can't blame you one bit for laying the smackdown on your sister. There comes a time where the MD card can get played and based on everything you've said here, she needed to be told where to stick it.
Congratulations married lady!!
I'm glad to hear that despite the little things going wrong (which I'm sure we all had/will have), you enjoyed yourself so much. Congrats, hope newlywed life is treating you well!

I just love that I truly can say I enjoyed my day and that nobody "ruined" it for me. There were some speed bumps, but I really just kept focusing on what the day was really about, and so many people have since said that I was the happiest bride they've ever seen ... and to me, hearing that actually meant a lot more than being told how beautiful I was.
So I can now honestly advise the panic-ers that the day really is what you make it, and nobody's going to ruin it for you if you just remember why you're there and what it's about.

And yes, I definitely think at times we can be justified in dropping "It's MY day!" I trust you to know when its appropriate!
