  The first thing I thought of was jars of homemade salsa or dry chili mix. But it would probably be too heavy to carry 30 jars with you. What about getting those big "Texas-sized" jelly beans and dividing them into little bags? Eh. I'll keep thinking

  Packets of Bluebonnet seeds would be cheap, and VERY cute.

  I would suggest the pralines like at El Fenix but then I'd feel bad about giving it to someone who's allergic to nuts.  However, El Fenix is only DFW AND they have been around since 1918 or so.  It would be very local only and kind of historic.  I think they're still about 65-75 cents each.

  LOVE the Bluebonnet idea.  Anyone know where I can get them locally...we leave Sat and I don't know if they would be here before we left.  The pralienes are also a cool idea.  My hubby loves pecan pies, so I know he would love that one, but I don't know how many would be left when we got there. haha.

  I would try nurseries like Calloways, or big box stores with garden centers, like Home Depot or Wal-mart. There maybe a better place, but those are the ones that come to mind.

  If you thought that you could get to Main St. in Grapevine before then, I would suggest the Texas store.  I know they had them.

  Something Dallas Cowboys or Cowboy Stadium. You can go to the Walmart across the street from the stadium and pick up a few things.
