Scratch-off favors help!!

franky1franky1 member
So, I am getting married in September.  My wedding is pretty low key, as the ceremony and hall are in the same place.  I wanted to do the lottery scratch off tickets or favors, but I just don't know how.  I am having a buffet style, so guests choose their own seats...I am also having a few children (under 18) at the wedding. Anyone have ideas of how to hand out the cards to only the adults, and make sure everyone gets one?  I am not going to hand them out one-by-one, so I need a better idea.  Let me know what you are thinking!  Thanks!!

Can you just leave them at each place setting or seat?  The parents of the guests who are under 18 can take the extras and cash them in.

I'm doing scratch off favors too!! I'm going to get black envelopes (to go with my colors) and put two tickets/envelope along with a 2012 (the year we're getting married) penny. I'm going to leave one at each table setting, I don't see anything wrong with a guest under 18 getting a scratch off but my only concern is once people know what they are they will take more than their share! I'm also going to put a sticker on the front of the envelope saying:
We're lucky to have you here with us
And another sticker on the seal saying:
    Sarah & Tim
    5.26.12

I think it's a realy cute and simple way to do favors that people are sure to love!!

I would either leave them at each place setting (I doubt anyone would care if a child got a scratch-off ticket, it's not like they could cash it in without their parents) or you could set up another table just for the favors and lay them out in a display,  but then you run the risk of people taking more than their share.

Incorporate them with the place cards. Put them in a little envelope with the place card and pop them on your place card holder....or just put it behind your place card.

We're doing lottery tickets too. I dont think it's an issue with minors - like pp's said, the parent's will take responsibilty for them. Our reception hall doesnt have a problem with it either since we're buying them.

Rather than scratch-offs though, we're going to buy state lottery tickets and have our DJ announce the numbers since they're draw on the wedding night.
