Hey Everybody!

Does anybody know of a good photographer that has reasonable prices? We are only looking for a few hours of photography and not all that fancy stuff like photo albulms. Our Wedding is Friday evening so we wont be going dt to get pictures, only at the hotel where we are getting ready. We are even open to students or beginners. Thoughts? Reccomendations?

    our caterer recommended eric zeffery.  (eric shot his wedding and he said the photos were great.)  http://ericzeffery.com/

    i believe his basic package is $1800 and that includes the digital images and an engagement shoot.  if you wanted something simpler, you might be able to negotiate for a lower rate.

    if you truly want just a few hours, you could probably negotiate lower rates with most photographers.   you could also try the art institute for photography students?

    What is your budget? Kent Drake is awesome and his prices are around $2000, not sure if they would be any different for a Friday wedding, but he's a nice guy, so it wouldn't hurt to ask about this:

    You can search or post on craigslist, this really is a legitimate way to find beginners and students who are actively looking to get into wedding photography. If you look you'll see a lot of people post links to their portfolios.

    What would you consider reasonable? I would recommend Tasha Schalk of Redwall Photography and Kathleen Thame.

    You can check out mine. She has been a friend of mine for a few years, but she is doing my wedding in less than a month.  She's by Rockford, but my wedding is at Navy Pier- so she travels.  She is sooo reasonable!  I totally lucked out.  She is still "newer" but here's her website www.jensacia.com.

    We are using Michael Rastall and he has great packages and only shoots around 25 weddings per year www.michaelrastall.com

    Thank You for all your posts, I will look into them all! We are having our wedding out by O'Hare airport. I was thinking around 1200 for a DVD only package...Am I crazy to think this is possible?
