Winter favors?

My wedding is in January and I thought it would be a cute idea to give snowglobes as favors. In searching, any premade globes that I've found are able to be personalized with a photo and writing, but anything that seems in my price range looks cheap and anything that looks nice costs way too much! In the past, I have tried to make my own and it has never turned out well.
If anyone has used premade snowglobes and found nice ones for less, a link would be appreciated! OR a good step-by-step list for diy would be great too!

To be honest, I'd save your money.  I really wouldn't want a snowglobe, and I think you'd be spending a lot of money on something that will be left behind, or quickly tossed out when guests arrive home.  Sorry.

How about something like cocoa mix, or spiced tea mix (for a hot cup of tea on a winter night).  Cookies shaped like snowflakes would be a possibility, or perhaps gourmet popcorn.  (I like popcorn and a movie on a snowy day).  Hostess "snowball" snacks would be very clever as well.

I'd focus my efforts on something edible, rather than a tchotchke that will probably cost more.

I agree with PP, I would nix the snowglobes and go for edible, you can get personalized wrappers from ebay or etsy, include a wintery design if you want on them, it's cheaper and guests will probably like that more. (also, fortune cookies would be a good idea)

Ditto Trix.  If you really like snowglobes then you could get a few (either personalized with a pic of you and FI or just regular snowglobes) and use them as table decorations or for your guest book table or something.

I like the idea of hot cocoa mix or cookies shaped as snowflakes.

Edible favors IMO are always the most appreciated.  I hate getting dust collectors ast favors, just being honest.

thanks for the honesty. I wouldn't want to waste the time or money on something if my guests feel the same. Personally I think snowglobes can be really beautiful, so the idea to include them but not be favors is great, thanks! Hot chocolate mix was an idea bouncing around my head too so it's good to know that goes over well.
I guess I was just thinking something that would last because my mom would be sad. But I guess that's what the parent gifts are for!
    really helpful ladies :)

I second the edibles!  You can always make some edible chocolates in winter themed shapes if you want to keep the theme going.

I thought this cappuccino with with whisk was sort of cute... they have a couple of other winter themed items, as well.
