  We had to pay $2500, then 1/2 the remaining balance 6 months before the wedding, and the remainder the day of.

  Our venue only requires the security deposit to reserve the space. It was $400.

  Our wedding will be held at a venue in Lee's summit. Its 1650 for a saturday event but due to the need to change venues at the last minute..we moved our wedding to sunday and its onlt 350!!!

  Our venue required 1/2 deposit at booking which was $800. The other $800 is required at the final walk-thru which is 4 days before the wedding.

  We have to put 25% down to reserve the space and the remainder is due the day of. Most places are 25%-50% to hold your date, and some may require an extra (refundable) security deposit on top of that.

  $1,000 down and the balance is due 30 days before wedding date

  25% of the minimum revenue.  Since this is where we are spending the vast majority of our budget it's pretty high.
