Thank you ladies for ALL of you support.  Trial ended today...  The "amazing" doctor was found GUILTY.  The charges however were only misdemeanors so we knew jail time wasn't really hopeful.  HOWEVER, this does bode well for our civil case.  He was found guilty of "Violation of navigational rules" (7 I believe).  If you google any of the Local palm beach county news stations you can see footage/story/interviews!! Thanks again ladies!

    Candis, that is great news that he was found guilty.  I'm glad the first step is finally over, I will watch the clips when I get home.  Good to know he wasn't let off the hook.

    Like I said on your facebook page, I am soooo happy that you and your fiancé got the justice you deserve.  You guys will definitely prevail in the civil case. *knock on wood*

    I read about it on my phone, it gets updates from the Sun-Sentinel.  Glad to hear that your fiance was able to get the outcome he desired (guilty).  I was shocked to hear how little the maximum punishment was.

    Candis I was at the hair salon getting my hair dyed and cut and a lady walked in and started talking to one of the stylist and she said "Did you hear that cute guy from the scuba accident won the case?"  And I immediately knew they were talking about your FI and I got chills!

    I am so happy that the verdict was in his favor!  Best of luck with the civil case and like Marian said... let that bastard of a Dr. at the very least give you the most amazing wedding EVER!

    Glad to hear he was found guilty...sad the punishment sucks! I hope this helps anything with the healing of putting it behind you guys and moving on to a beautiful life you both deserve! ...and i agree MAKE HIM PAY!
