Dress frustration

I've tried on dresses at three different places, and I'm so frustrated with the entire experience! I've found dresses that I like well enough, but nothing that I love and it's driving me crazy.  I have the type of personality that makes it really difficult to just step back from it and relax.  I want to have this figured out and settled ao I can move on to the rest of the planning.

I literally dread going to another bridal salon to try on more dresses :(

I was in the same place as you and felt similar about trying on dresses.  I tried on probably 100 dresses at 8 or 9 different shops.  Don't worry, you'll find the one.  I didn't have that overwhelming feeling of know it was the one, no tears.  I just put it on and it was the first one that made me feel good and at that point it was enough to decide.  I have since fallen in love with it and know that its my dress.

Try to relax tonight, maybe take a bubble bath or watch a fun - non-wedding related movie to take it off your mind.

I'm not sure where you are located, but I absolutely LOVE the ladies at The Wedding Bell in Tacoma.  They were very helpful and patient.  Maybe give them a shot.

I totally agree with The Wedding Bell. That's where I got my dress-and was about the 5th or 6th shop I tried. It was the only one where I really felt like she took a bit to find out my personality and she had a good idea what I wanted before I did. Sometimes that helps more than you think...

Good luck on finding your dress.

Goes to show you that your experience is totally based on who was working that day. I had two lame experiences at The Wedding Bell. My three guesses for you:

I've heard great things about All That Shimmers in Lakewood. Their website is pretty offputting, though.

Pearls and Lace in Burien - They have a big selection, good prices and when I went I was allowed to pull my own dresses, as many as I wanted, and I felt helped and not pressured or anything. I had a great day there.

La Belle Elaine apparently has a giant selection in a number of price points. However I have heard of someone who had alterations issues there (her skirt started coming detached about 20 minutes before her ceremony...)
