Hi There -

Looking for recommendations on wedding photographers in the CT area.  We found a great photographer (Judy Pak) who was already booked but I LOVE her vintage, romantic, whimsical style.  We have a budget of around $2500 - $3000 - any one have any recommendations?  Photographers up and coming looking to build their books?  Maybe they've been in the shadows of a larger name photographer and ready to embark out on their own?   Thanks!!

    Claudia at Fabuluxe Photos. I booked her for my April 2012 wedding. I followed her work for about a year and was sold after I saw another knottie's - mwitter80- photos.     check out visualobsession.com They're out of Hartford CT a little over your budget about 3500 but you get two of the guys for the entire day you need them, I have an appt with them this week, but a few of my friends used them and they're pictures are amazing!

    I love Claudia's style and I also like her.  She was highly recommended by a friend.

    Hello!

    I HIGHLY recommend my photographer Nikki Nicole.  She did pictures for our first house purchase, our engagement photos and will be doing the photos for our wedding.  She is so fun to work with and has a fantastic vision!  We loved both sets of photos that she's done for us so far!  She took over 2+ hours with us for our engagement session and we had dozens of pictures to choose from.

    FABULUXE! Claudia is totally amazing and so easy to work with! She's also very calming during stressful situations, which on my wedding day was very appreciated!

    Initial investment starts at $3500.

    then they have package add ons a trash the dress shoot or night escapades that you can use as an engagement shoot maybe are 500$ each.. The album was pricey but i realized that they're all pricey. I just fell in love with all the work on their website! 
    Plus they're great at replying to emails and you get them for the entire day! hope that helped.

    As long as you don't take my date before I put down a deposit.... we're making our final decision in the next few weeks, and I'm 80% sure we're going with them!

    Alexis Stein Photography.  Really, really excellent!  They're based in Long Island, but travel expenses are super cheap.  They've a couple, and just building their portfolio together.  Both individually excellent, and all recommendations are through the roof.  Honestly, they're worth a LOT more than they're charging!  Their basic package starts around $2k.  We got a bit more - 8 hours, both photographers, full rights to photos, an engagement session, box of proofs, and their top-of-the-line album for $3700.  It's a bit higher than your budget, but you can certainly trim down on a few things (like a smaller album) to get it to fit what you can afford.

    We're using Tim Nosenzo. He is incredibly affordable, and a nice guy to boot.

    I love his high contrast, color saturated style. I can't wait to do our engagement photos with him - definitely check him out. He has great packages and we're getting out spending less than $2000

    I will be using Catherine Fiehn for the second time, I was married before and was going to use another photographer, but then second guessed the situation and had to book Catherine again because her photos are just so different and amazing.     I can highly recommend our photographers, Rebecca and Chad Hansen. They are out of Boston and do AMAZING work. They have been our favorite vendor so far to work with.

    We are using Autumn Studios. They are owned and operated by Jay and Lisa, a husband and wife team. They have been in business for 25 years in Connecticut and they do it all. Jay and Lisa did my parents wedding and the pictures are beautiful. They seem to capture everything aspect of the big day that other photographers would over look. My FI and I are having out engagement shoot with them in a few week and i cant wait!!!
