How many wedding dress appointments should you make?

One of my friends is engaged and wants to try on dress without pressure. I told her I would have no problem taking her to places.  My question is this how many places should I take her to if she is not ready to buy yet? I scheduled one appointment but don't really know if I should schedule more because I know she will want to have the full experience with her mother later.  Any advice is appreciated.

  • I would just stick with the one and go from there, especially if she is not ready to buy.

Stick to one.  I had to purchase 2 dresses (long story :)   and I had one appointment for each dress (at different stores).
  • Ditto Sparkles. I'd also say that if she's planning a long engagement, I might wait to go dress shopping. It's very possible her tastes could change and something she likes now she might not like as much by the time the wedding gets closer. Hency why some people end up either regretting their dress, or purchasing a second dress and trying to sell the first.

Her wedding date is in 10 months.
  • I recommend I Do Too Bridal in Plymouth if it's near you.  They are really laid back and helpful  They don't work on commission so they won't mind that you are just looking. ANd they have lots of dresses.

<div>Just a heads up: She may need to be ready to buy soon then pending on the designer and if it will need to be ordered since some designers can take 6-8 months to make the dress.</div>
