  I second both David's Bridal or Le Chateau.  Most dresses are under $200.

  David's Bridal is cheap and there is a huge colour selection.  Depending on the season you can find some good finds at Fairweather and Ricki's as well.

  I'm going shopping with my girls at Le Chateau after the holidays, I saw some really nice dresses for $139 full price so we're hoping to get them on clearance!

  I've been looking at David's Bridal too, and the prices look good, but I know that my sister-in-law found her bridesmaid dresses (for a wedding last year) at Le Chateau for an awesome price.  You might also want to check out Sears - they have some decent dresses.  They even have wedding dresses, which I thought was interesting - unexpected, but interesting.
