Hello All - This is my first post, but I am in a bit of a situation. We are considering moving our September wedding from Connecticut, where it is currently planned, to Miami because of a family situation (my father has become ill).
I would prefer to stay in the Coconut Grove area. Given the timing (ie hurricane season), it seems like we won't be completely out of luck on venues. Given our last minute change, we are making some sacrifices on decisions (such as no hotel weddings!). One that has been really working with us is the Mayfair. My memory of the hotel is that it is great and gorgeous...but I haven't lived in Miami for 15 years! And I have not been to an event there.
Any thoughts on Mayfair as a venue?? Has anyone used them? Any and all feedback is welcome!!
