    I really want to buy a Kindle. I go through books sooo quickly and I'm visiting Chapters every other week.

    Are the books (that you buy through the Kindle) cheaper than paperback?

    A lot are.  i bought a bunch of school books on Kindle at at least a dollar discount on each and some books are flat out dirt cheap in comparison to physical books.  I bought a book series on kindle for $25 that would have cost me $80 if I had to buy the books separately.  You c an also buy kindle books and just read them on your comp, tablet, phone, whatever.  They have a cloud reader app that is free
    Plus there are hundreds of classics that are free downloads.

    My Birthday is coming up....maybe I should be asking FI (if he needs an idea...lol) for a Kindle. I wouldn't want to read it on the computer. I'm more of a reader on the patio, sitting on the couch or at the cottage. And from what I've been told it has it's on light.....so I wouldn't need one of those cruddy book lights that never really hold. lol

    Some have lights, a lot don't.  Mine doesn't but I love that the screen really does look like the page out of the book.  And mine has an anti-glare screen

    I would sooo have to get the one with the light. FI is always buggin' me about reading in the near dark. lol. It would be great to have.
    Anit-glare sounds like a nice add on too.

    LOL...would it be horrible to ask that for a wedding gift?!?

    mrsbiss...I got the Kindle cover that has the light on it.  It doesn't run down the battery or anything, but it does operate only when your Kindle is turned on.  It is probably the best thing I've bought in a long time.

    That's awesome! I don't have one, but two of my kids do and now I want one since they love theirs so much. Might have to tell fi I want one for Xmas. I have way too many books but I never seem to have anything to read so I'm always getting more. Drives fi nutso!

    Funny you should ask...we got our Kindle as a wedding gift. ;) (But it was a surprise, not something we registered for.)

    I have so many unread free books on my kindle its crazy.

    Haha, me too! I get daily e-mails from Pixel of Ink. I downloaded so many of their freebies, I got overwhelmed.     I have the Kindle Fire and I LOVE. But it doesn't have the anti-glare. I don't think you can get the anti-glare and the backlight, unless you have a separate device on a cover like grrrl.
    (I could be mistaken, but I think that's right)
