to booze or not to booze

Fi and I have been talking a lot about having a memorial day bbq wedding (we want very laid back and casual). We found a venue and caterer that we love that allow outside alcohol. So here is the question, if we have our reception start at 1 or 2 in the afternoon, what alcohol should we serve? Whem we were thinking about in the evening we were going to go with beer, and a signature cocktail (margaritas). Now we dont know if we should be serving liquor that early in the afternoon. What do you think?

    I think wedding = okay to have booze if you want it, but all the more so with wedding + memorial day weekend + bbq, so don't let that be the reason you skip it.

    I would say go with any alcohol you want to serve. It is a long weekend, if you are doing bbq style people are probably going to expect some form of it. If you want a dry wedding though there is nothing wrong with that either. Do some fun "virgin" drinks.

    I am getting married 5/19/13 on a Sunday afternoon.... and we plan to serve a full barLaughing. Dont have a signature drink yet though.

    I say go for it... I look at it as its past 12:00pm so you should be fine. Just be sure to have non alcoholic drinks for your guest if they choose not to drink.

    Its a wedding and a time of celebration, so I wouldn't feel guilty about alcohol no matter what time of day.  Beer and a cocktail should work :-)
