il tulipano vs valley regency

Hello everyone! I was looking between il tulipano and valley regency. Both places are offering me very similar packages , but I'll tulipano is 30 less per person I did some negotiating with valley regency and was able to get it down to a difference of 15 per person. I haven't tried negotiating with I'll tulipano but could prob save another 5 pp. We are looking to use the grounds at either place for an outdoor ceremony. Has anyone been to both? I am looking for comparisons among the two in terms of food service and overall experience at the venues.
Thanks !!

I have not been to Il Tulipano but have you tried asking about a tasting or about seeing the venues before an event?  Even with no tasting, you may be able to tell if you will like it based on the presentation of the food that they are serving the guests..

Valley Regency seems like they have a nice area outdoors for a ceremony.

    Hope this helps!  Good luck!
I couldn't tell you the day that I fell in love...but fall I did...head over heels in fact...Can't wait until I marry the love of my life.

We got married at Il Tulipano.  The outside area there is much nicer and bigger than the Valley Regency.  They do a great job with the outdoor cocktial hour if you want that.  The place is really big and you get the entire facility when you book there.  There is even a separate room for the dessert.

Il Tulipano offers tastings every few months, ask about it.  The food is the best part, even my italian family came up to me after the cocktail hour and said "if the wedding ended here, it would of been enough!"

I also heard that people were tipping the wait staff 10's and 20's because the service was that good.  Ask about the waiter to table ratio, Il Tulipano doesn't skimp on this.  I don't think I saw anyone at the bar the entire night.  The waiters made sure drinks were refilled before people were finished with their current drink.

I've heard great things about il Tulipano. The outdoor area is beautiful with a Mediterranean feel to it. The food and service are exceptional. You get the whole place to yourself, indoors and out, so you really feel special that day and every detail is catered to what you want. Ask for Greg Jr., the owner; and tell him I sent you! I had to cancel my shower there unfortunately for this April.
I don't know too much about the Valley Regency except that it's more expensive, very elegant place, but you won't get the quantity and quality of food compared to il Tulipano.

We are having our engagement party at Il Tulipano...we absolutely love it there and the outdoor area is definitely beautiful.  My brother's wedding was there and it was fantastic...food and service were impeccable.

My best friend had her reception at Valley Regency and that was incredible as well!  The food was oustanding.  Cocktail hours were similiar at both; and both were great.

You have picked two amazing venues!  As for service.. I'd definitely recommend Tulipano.  Either way, you can't go wrong.

    Good luck :)

I've never been to Il Tulipano, but have heard wonderful things!!!
I love Valley Regency! We have gone to several weddings here and the service is top notch, low waiter to guest ratio, the cocktail hour is off the charts and this venue is also one wedding at a time. Something else to note, if you are planning on having your eceremony here, they won't charge you an additional cost per head. The grounds aren't enormous, but I felt that they were adequate for picture taking or guests that want to maybe take a a breather and stroll/ take their own pics. Also- they don't always mention it, but they do include a flambe show.
