John Mayer's Music has sort of been the Soundtrack to all of our Adventures and such (we listen to him ALL-THE-TIME). and before we met, FI used to listen to him, while looking at the stars, Camping in the Summer and wonder if the "right girl was out there" well, I found a song by Him that is actually a POSITIVE long song- and think it might be perfect. but can anyone else look over these lyrics and tell me if i'm mis-understanding them?
I'm an architectOf days that haven't happened yetI can't believe a month is all it's beenYou know my paper heartThe one I filled with pencil marksI think I might've gone and inked you inLittle by little, inch by inchWe built a yard with a garden in the middle of itIt ain't much but it's a startYou got me swaying right along to the song in your heartAnd a face to call homeA face to call homeYou got a face to call homeSo good you didn't seeThe nervous wreck I used to beYou'd never know a man could feel so smallAnd you never look at meLike I'm a liabilityI bet you think I've never been at allLittle by little, inch by inchWe built a yard with a garden in the middle of itAnd it ain't much, but it's a startYou got me swaying right along to the song in your heartAnd a face to call homeA face to call homeYou got a face to call homeA face to call homeA face to call homeYou got a face to call homeMaybe I could stay a while,Maybe I could stay a while,Maybe I could stay a while,I'm talkin' like all of the time(Maybe I could stay a while)Little by little, inch by inch,(Maybe I could stay a while)We built a yard with a garden in the middle of it,(Maybe I could stay a while)And it ain't much, but it's a start,(I'm talkin' like all of the time)You got me swaying right along to the song in your heartAnd a face to call homeA face to call homeYou got a face to call home
