red velvet cupcake tower instead of wedding cake

Hello!  We are doing a wedding cupcake tower instead of a wedding cake.  Our colors are red and black and decided we are going to have red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, inside black wrappers.  the tops will be sprinkled with red sugar and perhaps a chocolate chip in the center.  Does this sound cool to anybody?  We dont want to spend a lot of money so we wanted to keep them fairly simple.  Also has anyone done anything similar to this that can post a pic?  Thanks!

    We did this, kind of.  We had about 150 cupcakes, and a small cake for H and me to cut.  It worked really well because everyone could just help themselves and we avoided tthe $2.50 per slice cake cutting fee!  Plus it was easy to pack up the leftover cupcakes and bring them home :) 

    ETA I tried to post a pic, but TK wouldn't let me....grrrr...
