Ceremony Time

I was originally planning on doing the ceremony at 1:00 however we only have the place where the reception will be held until 6:00 and that includes cleaning so the reception would probably have to be over at about 5:00. So with having a 1:00 ceremony then the reception would probably start at about 2:00 and that only leaves us 3 hours for the reception. I'm afraid that won't be enough time so I am thinking about pushing the ceremony earlier. Would noon or earlier be a weird time for a wedding?

    I think it'd be fine to start at 12, but I wouldn't do earlier than that.  I'm assuming you're serving lunch either way.

    Keep in mind that with an afternoon reception, people are probably not going to stay as long anyway.

    Will there be dancing? If so, I'd start the ceremony at noon. If not, 1pm is fine.

    we were married at 11, and our luncheon reception was from 1230 to 4.
