OOT Gift Bag Ideas

Hi all!

I am in need of OOT gift bag ideas...we're doing our DW in Riviera Maya next year.  I want to do something unique, but then again, I'm worried about our guests having to pack our "goodies" in their suitcases to take home.  I want things that make sense for a DW and Mexico, but I am drawing a blank when it comes down to items.  Thoughts?

Re: OOT Gift Bag Ideas

  • sunscreen, bug spray, Spanish for Dummies, first aid stuff, towels, blow up beach balls, flip flops, snacks, mints, gum, water bottles, maps, welcome letters...
  • Target right now has really cute beach bags for $2.50 in their dollar section in the front.  They are straw-like, I would love to have them, but I just don't think I could pack 25 of them without having a seperate suitcase just for the bags.  But inside they have little anchor fabric.  I love them...sorry for the rant its just a BAG...
We are including cookies, snacks, mints, a welcome letter, list of things to do and phone numbers, sunscreen, bugspray, and maybe a beach game (not sure).
  • We are not doing anything 'unique', but I still like them.

We bought the (oh-so-popular on this board) hibiscus bags from Oriental Trading Company.  In them, we are putting:
-Welcome Letter (in bio under paper)
-First Aid Kits with DIY labels with Shout Wipe, bandages, Advil, sunscreen, bug repellent wipe, etc (label is also in bio)
    -Playing cards
    -Water squirting toy
    -Candy and cookies
-Tiny notepads I made that look like matchbooks with pen
    -Photo-share card

    Hmmm...I think that's it.
  • Everyone's covered most everything...but one thing that I put in our OOT bags that I saw nearly everyone use is ziplock baggies.  I tied a ribbon around about 4 of them and put a tag on them that said "to keep the sand & surf out of your stuff" (and they don't weigh anything so they pack nicely!).

And I second (or third) the bug wipes suggestion!

I have a list of everything else that we put in our OOT bags in my bio.
(Another item that most people appreciated were mini-shower poofies...I found them 5/ $1 at the Dollar Tree...and again, they don't weigh anything).
