What is your favorite go-to snack food?

Right now I'm trying to stick with yogurts, nuts and fruits, but I really love salty and crunchy snacks.  Any favorites I could add to my list?

    For salty snacks:

*Homemade beef jerky (low salt but salty)
    *babybel light cheese
    *summer sausage/beef stick cubed
*home baked corn chips and salsa
*celery with garlic herb laughing cow cheese
  • I eat a lot of coconut yogurt, grapes, dried fruit & nuts, low cal protein bars. I really love raw veggies dipped in hummus or apples in peanut butter.
  • I really like Luna bars (nutrition bars made for women) and quakes (rice cakes that are flavored and are actually really yummy ;))

<div>I make mine in a food dehydrator and use Alton Brown's marinade: <a href="http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/beef-jerky-recipe/index.html" rel="nofollow">http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/beef-jerky-recipe/index.html</a></div><div>
</div><div>But you can totally make it in the oven too. 250F for about 4 hours on a rack with a pan underneath for drippings.  Then let air dry on the counter overnight.  Everyone days to use flank steak but i've also had great success using cheaper roasts and round steak.  Freeze the meat (makes it easier to slice thinly) slice it to double the desired thickness, throw it in a ziplock with the marinade overnight, jerk-ify it the next morning.</div>
  • I love trail mix, but I can't buy it or I eat too much of it.  If you're good at eating only one portion, it's a good option.  I like yogurt with fruit and maybe granola.  I also like nuts as snacks.

  • They are called cracker chips by special K. You can eat about 28 chips for only 120 calories I believe. They are delicious and help me maintain my calorie intake for the day. Cheddar and Sour cream and onion are the best!!
  • I love having a few low-sodium Triscuits with a few slices of sharp cheddar cheese.

I also like to have a bunch of frozen grapes and blueberries on hand during the summer.
  • just tried baked kale chips with sea salt....SOOOOOOO GOOD . you can make them in ten minutes in the oven and they are kind of sinful tasting but super healthy

brush kale leaves with olive oil top with garlic and sea salt bake in toaster oven or regular oven til crispy...
    ENJOY

also ditto to celery/raw veggies amd  hummus or low fat ranch

sweet stuff i love is frozen raspberries with whipped cream and cinnamon...
